Installing child restraints
Seat belts (An ELR belt requires a lock-
ing clip)
ISOFIX rigid anchors
Lower anchors are provided for the out- board rear seats. (Buttons displaying thelocation of the anchors are attached to
the seats.)
Anchor brackets (for top strap)
Anchor brackets are provided for the outboard rear seats.
Follow the child restraint system manufacturer’s instructions. Firmly secure
child restraints to the seats using a seat belt or ISOFIX rigid anchors. Attach
the top strap when installing a child restraint.

■Remote Touch screen
Press the “MENU” button on the Remote Touch, and then select on the
“Menu” screen.
If the “Trip information” or “Past record ” screen is displayed, select “Energy”.
You can view the status of your hybrid system on the multi-information display
and the Remote Touch screen.
Vehicles with 12.3-inch display: The energy monitor or consumption screen
can be displayed on the side display.

■When required to leave the vehicle’s key with a parking attendant
Turn the trunk opener main switch off and lock the glove box as circumstances demand. ( P. 148, 370)
Remove the mechanical key for your own use and provide the attendant with the elec- tronic key only.
■If you lose your mechanical keys
New genuine mechanical keys can be made by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer using the other mechanical key and the keynumber stamped on your key number plate. K eep the plate in a safe place such as your
wallet, not in the vehicle.
■When riding in an aircraft
When bringing an electronic key onto an aircraft, make sure you do not press any but-
tons on the electronic key while inside the ai rcraft cabin. If you are carrying an electronic key in your bag etc., ensure that the buttons are not likely to be pressed accidentally.Pressing a button may cause the electronic key to emit radio waves that could interfere
with the operation of the aircraft.
■Electronic key battery depletion
●The standard battery life is 1 to 2 years. (The card key battery life is about a year and a
half.)
●If the battery becomes low, an alarm will sound in the cabin when the hybrid system stops. ( P. 496)
●As the electronic key always receives radio waves, the battery will become depleted even if the electronic key is not used. The following symptoms indicate that the elec-tronic key battery may be depleted. Replace the battery when necessary. ( P. 435)
• The smart entry & start system or the wireless remote control does not operate. • The detection area becomes smaller.
• The LED indicator on the key surface does not turn on.
●To avoid serious deterioration, do not leave the electronic key within 1 m (3 ft.) of the
following electrical appliances that produce a magnetic field:
•TVs •Personal computers
• Cellular phones, cordless phones and battery chargers • Recharging cellular phones or cordless phones• Table lamps
• Induction cookers
■Replacing the battery

The number of keys already registered to the vehicle can be confirmed. Ask any autho- rized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repa irer, or any reliable repairer for details.
■If a wrong key is used
The key cylinder rotates freely to isolate inside mechanism.

The front doors can be opened by
pulling the inside ha ndle even if the lock buttons are in the lock position.
Move the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door while pulling the door handle.
The door cannot be locked if the power switch is in ACCESSORY or ON
mode, or the electronic key is left inside the vehicle. However, the key may not
be detected correctly and the door may be locked.

■Switching the door unlock function (vehicles with entry function)
It is possible to set which doors the entry fu nction unlocks using the wireless remote con- trol.
Turn the power switch off.
Cancel the intrusion sensor and tilt sensor of the alarm system to prevent unintended triggering of the alarm during the setting change. (if equipped) ( P. 94)
When the indicator light on the key su rface is not on, press and hold or
for approximately 5 seconds wh ile pressing and holding .
The setting changes each time an operatio n is performed, as shown below. (When changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds, and
repeat step .)
For vehicles with alarm: To prevent unintended triggering of the alarm, unlock the doors using the wireless remote control and open and close a door once after the settings have
been changed. (If a door is not opened within 30 seconds after is pressed, the
doors will be locked again and the alarm will automatically be set.)
In case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm. ( P. 92)

■Impact detection door lock release system
In the event that the vehicle is subject to a strong impact, all the doors are unlocked. Depending on the force of the impact or the type of accident, however, the system may
not operate.
■Using the mechanical key
The doors can also be locked and unlocked with the mechanical key. ( P. 527)

Settings (e.g. unlocking function using a key) can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 561)
WARNING
■To prevent an accident
Observe the following precautions while driving the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in a door openin g and an occupant throwing out of the vehi- cle, resulting in death or serious injury.
●Ensure that all doors are properly closed.
●Do not pull the inside handle of the doors while driving. Be especially careful for the front doors, as the doors may be opened even if the
inside lock buttons are in locked position.
●Set the rear door child-protector locks when children are seated in the rear seats.

■Operation of the power easy access system
When exiting the vehicle, the power easy access system may not operate if the seat is already close to the rearmost position, etc.
■Customization
The seat movement amount settings of the power easy access system can be custom- ized. (Customizable features: P. 561)
Your preferred driving position (the position of the driver’s seat, steering wheel,
outside rear view mirrors and HUD [head-up display] [if equipped]) can be
recorded and recalled by pressing a button.
Three different driving positions can be recorded into memory.
■Recording procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, outside rear view mirrors and HUD
(head-up display) (if equipped) to the desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” button,
or within 3 seconds after the
“SET” button is pressed, press
button “1”, “2” or “3” until the
buzzer sounds.
If the selected button has already been preset, the previously recordedposition will be overwritten.
Vehicles with the driving position memory for the front passenger’s seat: To
record the position of the front passeng er’s seat, adjust the front passenger’s
seat to the desired position and perfor m step using the buttons on the front
passenger’s side.

■Recall procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.

Press one of the buttons for the
driving position you want to recall
until the buzzer sounds.
Vehicles with front passenger’s seat ottoman:
The recorded position will only be recalled if the ottoman is in a positionhigher than the recorded position. It
will not move in an upward direction.
■To stop the position recall operation part-way through
Perform any of the following:
●Press the “SET” button.
●Press button “1”, “2” or “3”.
●Operate any of the seat adjustment switches (only cancels seat position recall).
●Operate the tilt and telescopic steering control switch (only cancels steering wheel
position recall).
●Operate the head-up display position adju stment switch (if equipped) (only cancels head-up display position recall).
■Seat positions that can be memorized ( P. 175)
Vehicles without seatback side support adjustment switch
The adjusted positions other than the position adjusted by lumbar support switch can be recorded.
Vehicles with seatback side support adjustment switch
All adjusted positions can be recorded.
■Automatic ottoman adjustment (if equipped)
While the recorded position is being recalled, if it appears that the front edge of the cush-
ion will touch the area surrounding the instrument panel, the ottoman will be automati- cally stowed.
