■Switching the door unlock function
It is possible to set which doors the entry function unlocks.Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
When the indicator on the key surface is turned off, press and hold
or for approximately 5 seconds while pressing on the key.
The setting changes each time an operation is preformed, as shown below. (When
changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds,
and repeat .)
To prevent unintended triggering of the alarm, unlock the doors using the wireless
remote control and open a door once after the settings have been changed. (If a
door is not opened within 60 seconds after is pressed, the doors will be
locked again and the alarm will automatically be set).
In case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm. ( →P. 121)

■Electronic key battery depletion
●The standard battery life is 1 to 2 years.
●If the battery becomes low, an alarm will sound in the cabin when the engine
stops. (→P. 3 6 )
●As the electronic key always receives radio waves, the battery will become
depleted even if the electronic key is not used. The following symptoms indicate
that the electronic key battery may be depleted. Replace the battery when nec-
essary. ( →P. 6 5 2 )
• The smart access system with push-button start or the wireless remote con- trol does not operate.
• The detection area becomes smaller.
• The LED indicator on the key surface does not turn on.
●To avoid serious deterioration, do not leave the electronic key within 3 ft. (1 m) of
the following electrical appliances that produce a magnetic field:
•TVs
• Personal computers
• Cellular phones, cordless phones and battery chargers
• Recharging cellular phones or cordless phones
•Glass top ranges
•Table lamps

Locking the driver’s door from the outside without a keyMove the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door.
The door cannot be locked if the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode, or the electronic key is left
inside the vehicle.
The key may not be detected correctly and the door may be locked.

Driving position memory (driver’s seat)
Your preferred driving position (the position of the driver’s seat, steering
wheel and angle of the outside rear view mirrors) can be memorized and
recalled with the touch of a button. It is also possible to set this function to
activate automatically when the driver’s door is unlocked.
Two different driving positions can be entered into memory.
■ Entering a positi on into memory
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch to IGNITION ON
mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view
mirrors to the desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” but-
ton, or within 3 seconds after
the “SET” button is pressed,
press button 1 or 2 until the sig-
nal beeps.
If the selected button has
already been preset, the previ-
ously recorded position will be
overwritten.

■Recalling the memorized position
Check that the shift lever is in P.

Linking driving position memory with door unlock operation
Record your driving position to button 1 or 2 before performing the fol-
lowing:
Carry only the key to which you want to link the driving position. If 2 or
more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be linked prop-
erly. Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch IGNITION ON mode
and close the driver’s door.
Check that the shift lever is in P.
While pressing the desired button
(1 or 2), press the driver’s door lock
switches (either lock or unlock)
until the signal beeps.
The driving position is recalled
when the driver’s door is unlocked
using the entry function or wireless
remote control and the driver’s
door is opened.

■Operating the driving position memory after turning the engine off
Memorized positions (except the steering wheel position) can be activated up to
180 seconds after the driver’s door is opened and another 60 seconds after it is
closed again, even after turning the “ENGINE START STOP” switch off.
■Canceling the linked door unlock operation Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch IGNITION ON mode and
close the driver’s door.
While pressing “SET” button, press driver’s door lock switches (either
lock or unlock) until the signal beeps.
■Stopping seat position operation part-way through
Perform any of the following operations:
●Press the “SET” button.
●Press button 1 or 2.
●Adjust the seat using the switches (only cancels seat position recall).
CAUTION
■Seat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment so that the seat does not strike the rear passenger
or squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

■If the Automatic High Beam indicator flashes...
It may indicate a malfunction in the system. Contact your Lexus dealer.
■Temporary lowering sensor sensitivity
The sensitivity of the sensor can be temporarily lowered.
To lower the sensitivity, push and hold the “AUTO” button on the inside rear view
mirror for 15 to 20 seconds, and release. The indicator light on the inside rear view
mirror will flash to indicate that the sensitivity has been lowered.
When the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned off, the sensitivity will be
returned to its normal level.
■Customization that can be configured at your Lexus dealer
The Automatic High Beam can be turned off.

Pressing the button changes the
vehicle-to-vehicle distance as

to IGNITION ON mode.
If a vehicle is running ahead of
you, the preceding vehicle mark
will be also displayed.
■Vehicle-to-vehicle distance settings
Select a distance from the table below. Note that the distances
shown correspond to a vehicle sp eed of 50 mph (80 km/h). Vehi-
cle-to-vehicle distance increases/decreases in accordance with
vehicle speed.

Selecting conventional constant speed control mode
Constant speed control mode differs from vehicle-to-vehicle distance
control mode. When constant speed co ntrol mode is selected, your vehi-
cle will maintain a set speed regardless of whether or not there are other
vehicles in the lane ahead.
Press the “ON-OFF” button to
activate the cruise control.
Press the button again to deacti-
vate the cruise control.
Switch to constant speed con-
trol mode. (Push the lever for-
ward and hold for
approximately 1 second.)
Cruise control indicator will come
on.
When in constant speed control
mode, to return to vehicle-to-vehi-
cle distance control mode, push
the lever forward again and hold
for approximately 1 second.
After the desired speed has been
set, it is not possible to return to
vehicle-to-vehicle distance control
mode.
If the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch is turned off and then turned
to IGNITION ON mode again, the
vehicle will automatically returns to
vehicle-to-vehicle distance control
mode.
