Lexus Display Audio system

You can make a call using numbers registered in the favorites.
Go to “Favourites”: “Telephone” “Favourites”
Choose the desired contact to call from the list.
Choose the number and then press the switch on the steering wheel
or press the controller.
You can make a call using the call history.
Go to “Call history”: “Telephone” “Call history”
Select the desired entry from the
list.
Press the switch on the steering wheel or select .
Call history list
If you make a call to or receive a call from a number registered in the phone-
book, the name is displayed in the call history.
If you make multiple calls to the same number, only the last call made is dis-
played in the call history.
International calls
Depending on the mobile phone in use, you may not be able to make interna-
tional calls.
Calling by using the latest call history entry
Press the
switch on the steering wheel to display the phone top screen.
Press the
switch on the steering wheel to display the “Call history”
screen.
Press the
switch on the steering wheel to select the latest call history
entry.

displayed correctly.

Phone number containing a “w” symbol
When the “w” symbol is dialed in an outgoing call, you need to go to
the “Release tones” screen to dial the following digits. Move the con-
troller to the left and then select “Release tones”.
Select “Handset mode” to change from a hands-free call to a cellular
phone call or vice versa.
Press the switch on the steering wheel or select .
When a call is interrupted by a third party while talking, an incoming call
message will be displayed.
To talk with the other party:
Press the switch on the steering
wheel or select .
To refuse the call:
Press the switch on the steering
wheel or select .
Every time you press the switch on the steering wheel or select during
call waiting, you will be switched to the other party.
Transferring calls
It is not possible to transfer from hands-free to the cellular phone while driving.
If you transfer from the cellular phone to hands-free, the hands-free screen will
be displayed, and you can operate the system using the screen.
Transfer method and operation may vary according to the cellular phone used.
For operation of the cellular phone in use, see the phone's manual.

You can register desired contacts to enable the speech command system.
Up to 50 contacts per phone can be registered.
Go to “Voice tags”: “Setup” “Telephone” “Contact/call
history settings” “Voice tag” “New” or “Edit”
Select the desired contact.
Move the controller to the left and then select “REC”.
Say the registered voice.
To play the registered voice, select “Play”.
Deleting a voice tag
Display the “Voice tags” screen.
Select “Delete” and then the desired contact.
Move the controller to the left and then select “Delete”.
Press the talk switch.
To cancel the speech command sys-
tem, press and hold the talk switch.
After a beep sounds, say the
desired contact name.
When the icon is displayed, you can
speak a command.
If more than 1 contact name is
displayed, select the desired con-
tact name.
If more than 1 phone number is displayed, select the desired phone
number.
When switch on the steering wheel is pressed, the system calls the first
phone number entry of the first contact.
Speech command system
Using the speech command system enables you to make a call to contacts
that have a voice tag.

Turn the heated steering wheel on/
off
The indicator light comes on when
the heated steering wheel is operat-
ing.
Heated steering wheel/seat heaters/seat ventilators
: If equipped
Heated steering wheel and seat heaters heat the side grips of the steering
wheel and seats, respectively. Seat ventilators maintain good airflow by
blowing air from the seats.
CAUTION
Care should be taken to prevent injury if anyone in the following categories
comes in contact with the steering wheel and seats when the heater is on:
• Babies, small children, the elderly, the sick and the physically challenged
• Persons with sensitive skin
• Persons who are fatigued
• Persons who have taken alcohol or drugs that induce sleep (sleeping drugs,
cold remedies, etc.)
Observe the following precautions to prevent minor burns or overheating,
• Do not cover the seat with a blanket or cushion when using the seat heater.
• Do not use seat heater more than necessary.
NOTICE
Do not put heavy objects that have an uneven surface on the seat and do not
stick sharp objects (needles, nails, etc.) into the seat.
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, do not use the functions when the hybrid
system is off.

The heated steering wheel can be used when the power switch is in ON mode.
The heated steering wheel will automatically turn off after about 30 minutes.
Each time the switch is pressed, the
intensity of the seat heater changes
and the level indicator lights
(amber) light as follows:
Hi (3 segments lit) Mid (2 seg-

The seat heaters can be used when the power switch is in ON mode.
Seat heater timer control: The seat heater automatically switches from
HiMidLo. The switching timing differs depending on the temperature
inside the cabin etc. when the seat heater was operated.
The seat heater timer control can be turned on and off by pressing the seat
heater switches for the driver side and front passenger side at the same time
until a buzzer sounds. The buzzer will beep once when the seat heater timer
control is turned on and twice when it is turned off.

Working from top to bottom, liberally apply water to the vehicle body,
wheel wells and underside of the vehicle to remove any dirt and dust.
Wash the vehicle body using a sponge or soft cloth, such as a chamois.
For hard-to-remove marks, use car wash soap and rinse thoroughly
with water.
Wipe away any water.
Wax the vehicle when the waterproof coating deteriorates.
If water does not bead on a clean surface, apply wax when the vehicle body is
cool.
Automatic car washes
Fold the mirrors before washing the vehicle. Start washing from the front of the
vehicle. Make sure to extend the mirrors before driving.
Brushes used in automatic car washes may scratch the vehicle surface and harm
your vehicle’s paint.
High pressure car washes
Do not allow the nozzles of the car wash to come within close proximity of the
windows.
Before using the car wash, check that the fuel filler door on your vehicle is
closed properly.
When using a car wash (vehicles with entry function)
If the door handle becomes wet while the electronic key is within the effective
range, the door may lock and unlock repeatedly. In that case, follow the follow-
ing correction procedures to wash the vehicle:
Place the key in a position 2 m (6 ft.) or more separate from the vehicle while
the vehicle is being washed. (Take care to ensure that the key is not stolen.)
Set the electronic key to battery-saving mode to disable the smart entry & start
system. (P. 150)
