14.REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSY
a. Remove the 4 bolts, nuts and 2 gaskets from the exhaust manifold.
b. Remove the exhaust pipe assy.
15.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR NO. 1
a. Remove the 4 bolts and heat insulator No. 1.
16.REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR
a. Remove the 2 bolts and heat insulator.
17.REMOVE PROPELLER W/CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSY
a. Using SST, loosen the adjusting nut until it can be turned by hand.
SST 09922-10010
HINT:
Use 2 of the same t
ype of SST.

1.RESTORE SHIP MODE SETTING (W/ CD CHANGER) (See PRECAUTION

3.REMOVE PANEL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER (See step 27 in
REPLACEMENT
)
4.REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY W/BRACKET (See step 4 in REPLACEMENT
)
5.CONFIRM SHIP MODE (W/ CD CHANGER) (See PRECAUTION
)
6.REMOVE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SWITCH ASSY
a. Using a screwdriver, release the 2 claws and remove the temperature control switch.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.
c. Disconnect the connectors.

14.REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER LOWER
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish panel center
lower.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Disconnect the connector.

15.REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL END
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and the clip and remove the instrument cluster finish
panel center end.
HINT:
Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Disconnect the connector.
16.REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.1
a. Remove the 2 screws < N >.
b. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel under cover sub-assy No.1.
c. Disconnect the connectors.

27.REMOVE PANEL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER
a. Remove the 3 screws < N >.
b. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the panel instrument cluster finish
lower.
HINt:
Use a screwdriver if a moulding remover is not available.
tape up the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Disconnect the connectors.

a. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and remove the temperature control switch assy.
HINt:
Use a screwdriver if a moulding remover is not available.
tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

31.REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY CENTER (W/ LEXUS
NAVIGATION SYSTEM)
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
HINt:
Be careful not to drop the bolts when removing them from the display.
b. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel
sub-assy center.
HINt:
Remove the multi-display together with instrument cluster finish panel sub-assy center.
Use a screwdriver if a moulding remover is not available.
tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Disconnect the connectors.
32.REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY CENTER (W/O LEXUS
NAVIGATION SYSTEM)
a. Remove the 2 bolts.
HINt:
Be careful not to drop the bolts when removing them from the display.
b. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel
sub-assy center.

a. Remove the 2 clips.
b. Pull the instrument cluster finish panel away from the dash.
c. Disen
gage the 2 clips and remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

44.REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSY
a. Remove the 4 screws.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter assy.
