■Operational condition
The ignition switch must be turned to ON or ACC for the clock to illuminate.

H button : Adjusts the hour.
M button : Adjusts the 

Seat heaters
■Operating conditions
The ignition switch must be in the ON position.

Push the knob into the recessed position when not in use

To turn on the seat heaters,
press the button for each seat.
The light on the buttons indicate
that the seat heater is on. To turn
off press the button again.

Floor mats
CAUTION
■When inserting the floor mat
Make sure the floor mat is properly placed on th
e floor carpet. If the floor mat slips
and interferes with the movement of the pedals during driving, it may cause an acci -
dent.
Use only genuine Lexus floor mats properly secured to the floor carpet.
Secure the mat with the lock clips.

■Retained accessory power
The rear power sunshade can be operated for approximately 60 seconds after the
ignition switch is turned to ACC or LOCK position.
CAUTION
■To a v o i d i n j u r y
●Do not touch the brackets fastening the power sunshade.
●Do not put your fingers in the power sunshade groove during operation.
NOTICE
■To prevent the battery from being discharged
Always operate the shade while the engine is running.
■To avoid damage or malfunction
●Do not overload the shade motor and othe r parts (for instance by pushing down
on the sunshade bracket during operation).
●Do not place objects where they may hinder the opening/closing of the shade.
●Do not affix anything to the shade.
●Clean the shade groove if there is any foreign matter or dust on it.
●Do not operate the power sunshade repeatedly for a long time.
■To avoid damage to the sunshade
Do not place anything in the sunshade groove.

Garage door opener
The garage door opener (HomeLink Universal Transceiver) is manufactured
under license from HomeLink.
Programming the HomeLink (for U.S.A. owners)
The HomeLink
 compatible transceiver in your vehicle has 3 buttons
which can be programmed to operate 3 different devices. Refer to the
programming method below appropriate for the device.

Point the remote control for the device 1 to 3 in. (25 to 75 mm)
from the HomeLink
 control buttons.
Keep the indicator light on the HomeLink in view while programming.
The garage door opener can be programmed to operate garage doors, gates,
entry doors, door locks, home lighting systems, security systems, and other
devices.

Interior features
■Programming an entrance gate (for U.S.A. owners)/Programming
all devices in the Canadian market
Point the remote control for the device 1 to 3 in. (25 to 75 mm)
from the HomeLink
 control buttons.
Keep the indicator light on the HomeLink in view while programming.
Press and hold the selected HomeLink button.
Repeatedly press and release (c y
cle) the device remote control
button every two seconds until step is complete.
When the indicator light on the HomeLink
 compatible trans -
ceiver start to flashing rapidly, release the buttons.
Press the newly programmed HomeLink
 button to see if it oper -
ates the device.
Repeat the steps for each remaining HomeLink
 button to pro -
gram another device.

To program other devices such as home security s
ystems, home door
locks or lighting, contact your auth orized Lexus dealer for assistance.

eprogramming a button
The individual HomeLink
 buttons cannot be erased but can be repro -
grammed. To reprogram a button, follo
w the “Basic programming”
instructions.

Drive the vehicle at 5 mph (8 km/
h) or lower in a circle until a direc-
tion is displayed.
If there is not enough space to
drive in a circle, drive around the
block until the direction is dis -
played.
■Factors affecting compass accuracy
The compass may not show the correct direction in the following conditions:
• The vehicle is stopped immediat
ely after turning.
• The vehicle is on an inclined surface.
• The vehicle is in a place where the earth’s magnetic field is subject to interfer -
ence by artificial magnetic fields 
(underground parking, under a steel tower, between buildings, roof parking,
ne
ar a crossing, near a large vehicle, etc.).
• The vehicle is magnetized. 
(There is a magnet or a metal object near the inside rear view mirror.)
• The battery has been disconnected.
• A door is open.
CAUTION
■While the vehicle is moving
Do not adjust the display. Be sure to adjust the display only when the vehicle is
stopped.
■When doing the circling calibration
Be sure to secure a wide space, and watch out for people and vehicles in the neigh -
bood. Do not violate any local traffic rule s
while performing circling calibration.
