■ Display off
A blank screen is displayed Displays inflation pre ssure of each tire. There
is no correlation between the order of the dis-
played values and the tire positions. If the inflation pressure of any tire drops a cer-
tain amount below the tire inflation pressure
value currently memorized in the system, the
displayed values will be highlighted.
It may take a few minutes to display the tire infla-
tion pressure after the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch is turned to IGNITION ON
mode. It may also take a few minutes to display
the tire inflation pressure after inflation pressure
has been adjusted.
If the tire pressure warning light is on or flashing,
a message describing the situation will be dis-
played.

With the headlights on, push the
lever forward to turn on the high
beams. Vehicles with an Automatic High
Beam system: When the light
switch is in “AUTO” position, the
Automatic High Beam system will
be activated. (  P. 213)
Pull the lever back to the center
position to turn the high beams off.
Pull the lever toward you to turn
on the high beams. Release the lever to turn them off.
You can flash the high beams with
the headlights on or off.
AFS
AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) improves visibility at intersections
and on curves by automatically adjusting the direction of the light axis of
the headlights according to vehicl e speed and the degree of the tire
angle that are controlled by steering input.
Operates at speeds of 6 mph (10 km/h) or higher
■ Deactivating AFS

Daytime running light system ●
To make your vehicle more visible to other drivers, the parking lights turn on
automatically (at an increased intensity) whenever the engine is started and the
parking brake is released. Daytime running lights are not designed for use at
night. ●
Compared to turning on the headlights, the daytime running light system offers
greater durability and consumes less electricity, so it can help improve fuel
economy.■
Headlight control sensor

Automatic light off system ●
When the headlights are on: The headlight s and tail lights turn off 30 seconds
after a door is opened and closed if the “ENGINE START STOP” switch has
been switched to ACCESSORY or OFF mode. ●
When only the tail lights are on: The tail lights turn off automatically if the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is sw itched to ACCESSORY or OFF mode
and driver’s door is opened.
To turn the lights on again, turn th e “ENGINE START STOP” switch to IGNITION
ON mode, or turn the light switch off once and then back to the
or
position. The sensor may not function properly if an
object is placed on the sensor, or anything
that blocks the sensor is affixed to the wind-
shield.
Doing so interferes with the sensor detecting
the level of ambient light and may cause the
automatic headlight system to malfunction.

Automatic headlight leveling system
The level of the headlights is automatically adjusted according to the number of
passengers and the loading condition of the vehicle to ensure that the headlights do
not interfere with other road users.■
If the “AFS OFF” indicator flashes
It may indicate a malfunction in th e system. Contact your Lexus dealer.■
Customization
Settings (e.g. light sensor se nsitivity) can be changed.

Do not leave the lights on longer than necessary when the engine is not running.

 : If equippedThe Automatic High Beam uses an in-vehicle camera sensor to assess the
brightness of streetlights, the lights of oncoming and preceding vehicles,
etc., and automatically turns high beam on or off as necessary.
■ Activating the Automatic High Beam system Push the lever away from you with
the headlight switch in the “AUTO”
position when the “ENGINE
START STOP” switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode.
The Automatic High Beam indi-
cator will come on when the
headlights are turned on auto-
matically to indicate that the sys-
tem is active.

Switching to low beam Pull the lever to the original posi-
tion.
Switching to high beam Turn the light switch to the
position.

When all of the follow ing conditions a re fulfilled, high beam will be
automatically turned on (a fter approximately 1 second):
● Vehicle speed is above approximately 21 mph (34 km/h).
● The area ahead of the vehicle is dark.
● There are no oncoming or preceding vehicles wi th headlights or tail
lights turned on.
If any of the following conditions a re fulfilled, high beam will be auto-
matically turned off:
● Vehicle speed drops below approximately 17 mph (27 km/h).
● The area ahead of the vehicle is not dark.
● Oncoming or preceding vehicles have headlights or tail lights
turned on.

Limitations of the Automatic High Beam
Do not rely on the Automatic High Beam . Always drive safely, taking care to
observe your surroundings and turning high beam on or off manually if necessary.■
Camera sensor detection information ●
High beam may not be auto matically turned off in the following situations:
• When oncoming vehicles suddenly appear from a curve.
• When the vehicle is cut in front of by another. ●
High beam may be turned off if an oncoming vehicle that is using fog lights with-
out using the headlights is detected. ●
Houselights, streetlights, re d traffic signals, and illuminated billboards or signs
may cause the high beam to turn off. ●
The following factors may affect the amount of time taken to turn high beam on
or off:
• The brightness of headlights, fog lights , and tail lights of oncoming and pre-
ceding vehicles
• Road conditions (wetness, ice, snow etc.)
• The number of passengers and amount of baggage ●
High beam may be turned on or off when unexpected by the driver.
