Using the wireless charger
Press the lid to open.
Press the power supply switch of
the wireless charger. Switches on and off with each press
of the power supply switch.
When turned on, the operation indi-
cator light (green) comes on.
Even with the engine off, the on/off
state of the power supply switch is
memorized.
Place the charging side of the
portable device down. When charging, the operation indi-
cator light (orange) comes on.
If charging is not occurring, try plac-
ing the portable device as close to
the center of the charging area as
possible.
When charging is complete, the
operation indicator light (green)
comes on.●
Recharging function
• When charging is complete and after a fixed time in the charge suspen-
sion state, char ging restarts.
• When the portable device is moved, charging is stopped for a moment
and then it restarts. 1

* : Depending on the portable device, there are cases where the operation indicator
light will continue being lit up orange even after the charging is complete.●
When the operation indicator light flashes
When an error occurs, the operation in dicator light flashes an orange color.
Handle the error based on the following table.

Usable portable devices
Qi standard wireless charge standard can be used on compatible devices.
However, not all Qi st andard devices and compatibility are guaranteed.
Starting with mobile phones and smart phones, it is aimed for low power electrically sup-

Enabling 2-way communication with a garage door (only available for com-
patible devices)
When enabled, 2-way communication allo ws you to check the status of the
opening and closing of a garage door through indicators in your vehicle.
2-way communication is only available if the garage door opener motor used
is a compatible device. (To check devi ce compatibility, refer to www.Home-
Link.com.)
Within 5 seconds after programming the garage door opener has been
completed, if the garage door op ener motor is trained to HomeLink ®
,
both garage door operation indicator s will flash rapidly (green) and the
light on the garage door opener moto r will blink twice, indicating that 2-
way communication is enabled.
If the indicators do not flash, perform and within the first 10 presses of
the HomeLink ®
button after programming has been completed.
Press a programmed HomeLink ®
button to operate a garage door.
Within 1 minute of pressing the HomeLink ®

button, after the garage door
operation has stopped, press the “Learn” or “Smart” button on the garage
door opener motor. Within 5 seconds of the establishment of 2-way com-
munication with the garage door opener , both garage door operation indi-
cators in the vehicle will flash rapidly (green) and the light on the garage
door opener motor will blink twice, indicating that 2-way communication is
enabled.■
Reprogramming a single HomeLink ®
button
When the following procedure is pe rformed, buttons which already have
devices registered to them can be overwritten:
With one hand, press and hold the desired HomeLink ®
button.
When the HomeLink ®
indicator starts flashing (orange), continue to hold
the HomeLink ®
button and perform “Programming HomeLink ®
” (it
takes 20 seconds for the HomeLink ®
indicator to start flashing).
Press the appropriate HomeLink ®

Fuel pump shut off system Follow the procedure below to restart the engine after the system is activated.
Turn the engine switch to A CCESSORY mode or turn it off.
Restart the engine.To minimize the risk of fuel leakage wh en the engine stalls or when an airbag
inflates upon collision, the fuel pump shut off system stops the supply of fuel to
the engine.
NOTICE ■
Before starting the engine
Inspect the ground under the vehicle.
If you find that fuel has leaked onto the ground, the fuel system has been damaged and
is in need of repair. Do not restart the engine.1

Maintenance of the tires
Each tire, including the spare (if provided), should be checked monthly when cold and
inflated to the inflation pressure recomm ended by the vehicle manufacturer on the
vehicle placard or tire inflation pressure label (tire and load information label). (If your
vehicle has tires of a different size than the size indicated on the vehicle placard or tire
inflation pressure label [tire and load in formation label], you should determine the
proper tire inflation pressure for those tires.)
As an added safety feature, your vehicle ha s been equipped with a tire pressure moni-
toring system (TPMS-tire pressure warning system) that illuminates a low tire pressure
telltale (tire pressure warning light) when on e or more of your tires is significantly
under-inflated. Accordingly, when the low ti re pressure telltale (tire pressure warning
light) illuminates, you should st op and check your tires as soon as possible, and inflate
them to the proper pressure. Driving on a si gnificantly under-inflat ed tire causes the
tire to overheat and can lead to tire failure . Under-inflation also reduces fuel efficiency
and tire tread life, and may affect the vehicle’s handling and stopping ability.
Please note that the TPMS (tire pressure wa rning system) is not a substitute for proper
tire maintenance, and it is th e driver’s responsibility to ma intain correct tire pressure,
even if under-inflation has not reached the le vel to trigger illumina tion of the TPMS low
tire pressure telltale (tir e pressure warning light).
Your vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS (tire pressure warning system) mal-
function indicator to indicate when the system is not operating properly. The TPMS
(tire pressure warning system) malfunction indi cator is combined with the low tire pres-
sure telltale (tire pressure warning light). When the system detects a malfunction, the
telltale will flash for approximately one mi nute and then remain continuously illumi-
nated. This sequence will cont inue upon subsequent vehicl e start-ups as long as the
malfunction exists. When the malfunction in dicator is illuminated, the system may not
be able to detect or signal low tire pressure as intended.
TPMS (tire pressure warning system) malfun ctions may occur for a variety of reasons,
including the installation of replacement or alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that
prevent the TPMS (tire pressure warning system) from functioning properly. Always
check the TPMS (tire pressure warning system) malfunction telltale after replacing one
or more tires or wheels on your vehicle to ensure that the replacement or alternate
tires and wheels allow the TPMS (tire pressu re warning system) to continue to function
properly.
NOTICE ■
To ensure the tire pressure warning system operates properly
Do not install tires with different specificatio ns or makers, as the tire pressure warning
system may not operate properly.

If “See Owner’s Manual” is shown ●
If “Smart Access System Ma lfunction” is shown, this may be a malfunction.
Immediately have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer. ●
If “Transmission Fluid Temp High” is shown, it indicates that the automatic transmission
fluid temperature is too high.
Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, shift the shift lever to P and wait until the
warning message and light go off. If the warning message and light go off, you may
start the vehicle again. If the warning message and light do not go off, contact your
Lexus dealer. ■
If “Shift to P Before Ex iting Vehicle” is shown
Message is displayed when the driver’s door is opened without turning the engine switch
to off with the shift lever in any position other than P.
Shift the shift lever to P. ■
If “Power Turned Off to Save Battery” is shown
Power was turned off due to the automatic power off function.
Next time when starting the engine, increase the engine speed slig htly and maintain that
level for approximately 5 minu tes to recharge the battery.■
When a message that indicates the need for the shift lever operation is shown
To prevent the shift lever from being operat ed incorrectly or the vehicle from moving
unexpectedly, a message that re quires shifting the shift leve r may be shown on the multi-
information display. In that case, follow the instruction of the message and shift the shift
lever. ■
When “Headlight System Malfunction Visit Your Dealer” is displayed on the multi-
information display
The following systems may be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus
dealer. ●
The LED headlight system ●
The automatic headlight leveling system ●
Automatic High Beam ■
If “Forward Camera System Unavailable” or “Forward Camera System Unavailable
Clean Windshield” is displayed (if equipped)
The following systems may be suspended until the problem shown in the message is
resolved. (  P. 266, 523)●
PCS (Pre-Collision System) ●
LDA (Lane Departure Alert) ●
Dynamic radar cruise control with full-speed range ●
Automatic High Beam ■
If “Engine Oil Level Low” is shown
Indicates that engine oil level is low.
Check the level of engine oil, and add if necessary.
This message may appe ar if the vehicle is stopped on a slope.
Move the vehicle to a level surface and check to see if the message disappears.

Using the tire jack
Improper use of the tire jack may lead to death or serious injuries due to the vehicle
suddenly falling off the jack. ●
Do not use the tire jack for any purpose ot her than replacing tires or installing and
removing tire chains. ●
Only use the tire jack that comes with this vehicle for replacing a flat tire.
Do not use it on other vehicles, and do no t use other tire jacks for replacing tires on
this vehicle. ●
Always check that the tire jack is securely set to the jack point.●
Be sure to turn off the 4-Wh eel AHC and stop the engine.●
Do not put any part of your body under the vehicle supported by a jack. ●
Do not start or run the engine while yo ur vehicle is supported by the jack.●
Do not raise the vehicle while someone is in it. ●
When raising the vehicle, do not pu t an object on or under the jack.●
Do not raise the vehicle to a height greater than that required to replace the tire. ●
Use a jack stand if it is necessary to get under the vehicle.
Take particular care when lowering the ve hicle to ensure that no one working on or
near the vehicle will be injured. ■
Using the jack handle
Tighten all the jack handle bo lts securely using a Phillips-he ad screwdriver, to prevent
the extension parts from co ming apart unexpectedly.

Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the engine switch. When the electronic key is detected, a
buzzer sounds and the engine switch
will turn to IGNITION ON mode.
When the smart access system with
push-button start is deactivated in cus-
tomization setting, the engine switch will
turn to ACCESSORY mode.
Firmly depress the brake pedal and check that is shown on the
multi-information display.
Press the engine switch. In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.■
Stopping the engine
Shift the shift lever to P and press the engine switch as you normally do when stopping
the engine. ■
Replacing the key battery
As the above procedure is a temporary measure, it is recommended that the electronic
key battery be replaced immediately when the battery is depleted. (  P. 505)■
Changing engine switch modes
Release the brake pedal and press the engine switch in step above. The engine does
not start and modes will be changed e ach time the switch is pressed. (  P. 212)■
Alarm
Using the mechanical key to lock th e doors will not set the alarm system.
If a door is unlocked using the mechanical ke y when the alarm system is set, the alarm
may be triggered. (  P. 82)■
When the electronic key does not work properly ●
Make sure that the smart access system wi th push-button start has not been deacti-
vated in the customization setting. If it is off, turn the function on.

Add coolant if necessary. Water can be used in an emergency if
coolant is unavailable.
Start the engine and turn the air conditioning system on to check that the air
conditioning condenser cooling fans op erate and to check for coolant leaks
from the radiator or hoses. The fans operate when the air conditioning system is turned on immediately after a
cold start. Confirm that the fans are operating by checking the fan sound and air flow.
If it is difficult to check these, turn the air conditioning system on and off repeatedly.
(The fans may not operate in freezing temperatures.)
If the fans are not operating:
Stop the engine immediately an d contact your Lexus dealer.
If the fans are operating:
Have the vehicle inspected at the nearest Lexus dealer. 4
