Note:If a MyKey is detected, pressing thebutton will not affect the on or off status ofthe system.
Press the button on the steeringwheel stalk to switch the systemon or off.
System Settings
The system has optional setting menusavailable. The system stores the last-knownselection for each of these settings. You donot need to readjust your settings each timeyou turn on the system.
Mode: This setting allows you to select whichof the system features you can enable.
Alert only – Provides a steering wheelvibration when the system detects anunintended lane departure.
Aid only – Provides an assistance steeringtorque input toward the lane center whenthe system detects an unintended lanedeparture.

Alert + Aid – Provides an assistance steeringtorque input toward the lane center. If yourvehicle continues drifting out of the lane, thesystem provides a steering wheel vibration.

Wheel Lug Nut Torque Specifications
WARNING
When a wheel is installed, always remove any corrosion, dirt or foreign materials present on the mounting surfaces of the wheel or thesurface of the wheel hub, brake drum or brake disc that contacts the wheel. Make sure that any fasteners that attach the rotor to thehub are secured so they do not interfere with the mounting surfaces of the wheel. Installing wheels without correct metal-to-metal contact atthe wheel mounting surfaces can cause the wheel nuts to loosen and the wheel to come off while your vehicle is in motion, resulting in lossof control.

*Torque specifications are for nut and bolt threads free of dirt and rust. Use only Ford recommended replacement fasteners.
Retighten the lug nuts to the specified torque within 100 miles (160 kilometers) after any wheel disturbance (such as tire rotation, changing aflat tire, wheel removal).
