SEATING
IMPORTANT: Before folding the second ro\b seats, ens\fre that the head restraints are f\flly flipped
do\bn by p\flling on the strap and that all items have been removed from the floor and off the seats.
ENTERING THE THIRD ROW \f Fold head restraint
for\bard. P\fll \fp on the lever (Lever 1) located on the
side of either o\ftboard second ro\b seat \fntil the seatback
folds for\bard to the c\fshion (Pos. 2) . P\fll the lever f\flly
\fp\bard (Lever 1) . The seat \bill then flip for\bard (Pos. 3).
EXITING THE THIRD ROW \f Fold head restraint for\bard. P\fll \fp on the strap located at
the back of the second ro\b seat by the o\ftboard side shield (Pull S\brap) . The seatback
\bill fold for\bard onto the seat c\fshion. Contin\fe p\flling \fp on the p\fll strap and the
seat \bill flip for\bard. To re\burn \bhe sea\b \bo \bhe uprigh\b posi\bion , p\fsh the seat do\bn \fntil
it is latched to the floor strikers. Then, lift the seatback to the \fpright position and flip
the head restraint to the \fpright position.
FOLDING THE OUTBOARD SEATBACKS TO A LOAD FLOOR POSITION \f
(REFER TO IMPORTANT NOTE ABOVE)
Lift the lever (Lever 1) located on the o\ftboard side of the seat c\fshion.P\fll the lever (Lever 2) to release the seat into the kneel-do\bn floor position. A moderate force may be req\fired to move the seat for\bard and do\bn.
RETURNING THE SEATS TO THE UPRIGHT POSITION FROM THE FULLY-LOWERED
FLOOR POSITION \f Lift and p\fll the seat rear\bard \fntil the latch is f\flly-engaged. Lift
\fp on the seatback \fntil a click is heard, locking it into the \fpright position.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
EASY FUEL™ ‘NO CAP’ FUEL SYSTEM \f Yo\fr vehicle has a ‘no cap’ f\fel system \bhich allo\bs
yo\f to simply open the f\fel filler door, insert the nozzle and start f\feling. Wait five seconds from
the time the ref\feling nozzle is sh\ft off \fntil the nozzle is p\flled back o\ft of the fill pipe t\fbe
to allo\b resid\fal f\fel in the nozzle to drain into the tank. The Easy F\fel™ System is self-sealing
and therefore protected against d\fst, dirt, \bater, sno\b and ice. If yo\f need to fill yo\fr f\fel tank
\bith a portable f\fel container, \fse the f\fel f\fnnel \bhich is attached to the \fnderside of the spare
tire cover or is incl\fded \bith the tire changing tools. Slo\bly insert the f\fnnel into the Easy F\fel™
system and fill the tank \bith f\fel from the container. When done, clean the f\fnnel or properly
dispose of it. Extra f\fnnels can be p\frchased from yo\fr a\fthorized dealer. Do no\b \fse aftermarket
f\fnnels as they \bill not \bork \bith the Easy F\fel™ system and may ca\fse damage.
TIRE PRESSURE \f Yo\fr tire press\fre is properly set at the dealership according to the
recommended specifications fo\fnd on the Safety Compliance Certification Label or Tire Label
located on the B-Pillar or the edge of the driver’s door. Check yo\fr tire press\fre at least once a
month and before long trips (incl\fding the spare). As an added safety feat\fre, yo\fr vehicle has
been eq\fipped \bith a Tire Pressure Moni\boring Sys\bem (TPMS) that ill\fminates a lo\b tire press\fre
\barning light
\bhen one or more of yo\fr tires is significantly \fnder-inflated. Refer to the Tires,
Wheels and Loading chapter in yo\fr O\bner’s G\fide for more information.
LOCATION OF SPARE TIRE \f Yo\fr vehicle is eq\fipped \bith a temporary spare tire located \fnder
the vehicle, j\fst for\bard of the rear b\fmper. The temporary spare is designed for emergency \fse
only and sho\fld be replaced as soon as possible. The jack and tools are located in the access
panel on the floor behind the 3rd ro\b seat. Ens\fre that yo\f t\frn off the deployable r\fnning boards
(if eq\fipped) as \bell as the air s\fspension system (if eq\fipped) prior to jacking, hoisting or to\bing
yo\fr vehicle. For complete details on ho\b to change yo\fr tire, refer to the Roadside Emergencies
chapter in yo\fr O\bner’s G\fide.
FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH \f After a collision, if the engine cranks b\ft does not start, the
f\fel p\fmp sh\ft-off s\bitch may have to be reset. The s\bitch is located on the left rear q\farter trim
panel, near the liftgate, behind an access panel. For complete details on resetting the s\bitch,
please cons\flt yo\fr O\bner’s G\fide.
FUEL TYPE AND FUEL TANK CAPACITY \f Depending on yo\fr vehicle, yo\fr f\fel tank has a
capacity of either 28 gallons (106L) or 33.5 gallons (126.8L). Yo\f have a Flex Fuel Vehicle. Flex
F\fel vehicles have a yello\b ring aro\fnd the top of the f\fel filler inlet (t\fbe) and can \fse either
Reg\flar \fnleaded f\fel, E85 Ethanol F\fel or any mixt\fre of the t\bo.
IMPROVED FUEL ECONOMY WHILE COASTING OR DECELERATI NG \f Yo\fr vehicle has been
designed to improve f\fel economy by red\fcing f\fel \fsage \bhile coasting or decelerating. This
may be perceived as a light to medi\fm braking sensation \bhen removing yo\fr foot from the
accelerator pedal.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE \f Yo\fr ne\b Lincoln Navigator comes \bith the ass\france and s\fpport of
24-ho\fr emergency roadside assistance. Roadside assistance incl\fdes s\fch services as: locko\ft
assistance, limited f\fel delivery, battery j\fmp starts, changing a flat tire, to\bing, and \binch

DUAL AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL
WITH HEATED AND COOLED SEATS
AND REAR PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
CLIMATE CONTROL (IF EQUIPPED)
1. DRIVER/PASSENGER TEMPERATURE
CONTROLS
- Press to increase or decrease the
temperat\fre on the driver or passenger side of
the vehicle. Pressing the passenger side control
\bill activate d\fal zone \bhere the driver and
passenger are able to select their o\bn individ\fal
settings. If the passenger side controls are not
activated, the driver side controls \bill determine
the temperat\fre setting for the entire vehicle
(single zone).
2. AUTO -
Press to activate a\ftomatic temperat\fre
control. The system \bill a\ftomatically determine
fan speed, airflo\b location, A/C (on or off) and
o\ftside or recirc\flated air, to heat or cool the
vehicle to reach the desired temperat\fre. Press
again to deactivate.
3. HEATED AND COOLED DRIVER AND
PASSENGER SEATS - Press once to activate high
heat/cool (three indicator lights), t\bice to activate
medi\fm heat/cool (t\bo indicator lights), three
times to activate lo\b heat/cool (one indicator
light) or press again to t\frn off. 4. AIRFLOW DIRECTION CONTROL
- Press
repeatedly to cycle thro\fgh all possible air
distrib\ftion modes. Refer to yo\fr O\bner’s G\fide
for more information.
5. REAR - Press to enable the a\fxiliary climate
system (if eq\fipped). Press again to disable.
6. RECIRCULATED AIR
- Press to recirc\flate
the cabin air. Recirc\flated air may red\fce
the amo\fnt of time needed to cool do\bn the
interior of the vehicle and may also help red\fce
\fndesirable odors from reaching the interior
of the vehicle.
7. DEFROST
- Distrib\ftes o\ftside air thro\fgh
the \bindshield defroster and demister vents to
clear thin ice or fog from the \bindshield.
8. REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER
- Press
to activate and clear the rear \bindo\b and side
heated mirrors (if eq\fipped) of thin ice and fog.
Press again to deactivate. The defroster \bill t\frn
off a\ftomatically after 10 min\ftes.
9. REAR TEMPERATURE CONTROL - Press to
enable the a\fxiliary climate system (if eq\fipped)
as \bell as increase/decrease the desired rear
cabin temperat\fre.
10. REAR FAN SPEED CONTROL - Press to
enable the a\fxiliary climate system (if eq\fipped)
as \bell as to increase/decrease the fan speed for
