ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) P Removal I Installation note Brake pipes Caution Brake fluid will damage painted surfaces. If brake fluid does get on a painted surface, wipe it off im- mediately. P ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) RELAYS Removal 1 Inspection / Installation 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove in the order shown. 3. Inspect all parts and replace as necessary. 4. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Release the motor relay lock from the hydraulic unit and remove the motor relay. 3. Connect an ohmmeter and check for continuity at the relay terminals. Ground M: Indicates continuity 4. If continuity is not as specified, replace the motor relay. 5. If OK, check the wiring harness (Motor relay - Control unit main fuse [ABS 60A1). Gartner Banana

Using an ohmmeter, check continuity of the relay termi- nals. m: Indicates continuity 4. If continuity is not as specified, replace the valve relay. R REAR SUSPENSION (DOUBLE-WISHBONE) CROSSMEMBER Removal I Inspection I Installation 1. Jack up the vehicle and support it with safety stands. 2. Remove the wheels and tires. d 3. Remove the differential and the power plant frame. (Refer to section M.) 4. Lower the crossmember and other suspension parts as an assembly, and then separate the parts. 5. Remove in the order shown in the figure. 6. lnspect parts and repair or replace as necessary. 7. Install in the reverse order of removal. 8. Loosely tighten the stabilizer bracket, upper arm, and lower arm bolts. Tighten all other nuts and bolts to the specified torques. 9. Lower the vehicle. 10. With the vehicle unloaded, tighten the stabilizer bracket, upper arm, and lower arm bolts to the specified torques. 11. Adjust the rear wheel alignment. (Refer to page R-9.) 12. Bleed the air from the brake system. (Refer to section P.) 13. Adjust the parking brake lever stroke. (Refer to section P.) 1. Differential mounting pipe 6. Shock absorber bolt 2. s POWER WINDOW SYSTEM FDB POWER WINDOW SWITCH Inspection 1. Check for continuity between terminals of the switch with an ohmmeter. O--O: Indicates continuity 2. If not as specified, replace the switch. POWER WINDOW REGULATOR lnspection 1. Connect battery positive voltage to terminal A and L' ground terminal B of the motor connector. Verify that the motor operates. 2. Reverse the above connections and check for reverse operation of the motor. 3. If not as specified, replace the motor. Gartner Banana
