If th e windscreen wipers begin tomo vewhile
yo u are changing the wiper blades, you can
be trapped bythe wiper arm. #

ers and ignition before changing the

Switch the ignition on and switch off again
immediatel y. #
Within around 15seconds, press theî
button on the combination switch for appro x‐
ima tely thre e seconds (/ page103).
The wiper arms will mo veinto thech ange
position.
Re moving the wiper blades #
Foldthe wiper arms away from the wind‐
screen. #
Set the wiper blade at an angle. #
Pull the wiper blade out of the holder on the
wiper arm in the direction of the ar row.
Fi tting the wiper blades #
Push the new wiper blade into the holder on
th e wiper arm against the direction of the
ar row. #
Turn the wiper blade parallel tothe wiper
arm. #
Foldthe wiper arm onto the windscreen. Mir

Yo u could lose cont rol of theve hicle in the
fo llowing situations:
R ifyo u adjust the driver's seat, the head
re stra ints, thesteering wheel or the mir‐
ro r while theve hicle is in motion
R ifyo ufast enyour seat belt while theve hi‐
cle is in motion #
Before starting the engine: adjust the
driver's seat, the head restra ints, the
st eering wheel or the mir ror and fasten
yo ur seat belt. 104

Clean the soft top with a brush and clean water.
R Clean stains and other dirt with a brush and soft-top
cleaning agents recommended and appr ovedby
Mercedes-Benz.
R Alw ays brush from front toback in the direction of the
fa bric. Fr
equent cleaning reduces the soft top's resist‐
ance todirt. Torestore the ef fect, clean the soft
to p with the care products and cleaning agents
re commended and appr ovedby Mercedes-Benz.
Incor rect cleaning and care, as well as ageing,
can cause the soft-to p seams toleak. Ha vethe
soft-top seams sealed at a qualified specialist
wo rkshop, e.g. at your Mercedes-Benz service
centre. %
Place a suitable co verove rth e soft top if you
plan tolea vetheve hicle outside for a long
period of time. Note

WARNING Risk of entrapment if the
windscreen wipers are swit ched on while
th e windscreen is being cleaned
If th e windscreen wipers are set in motion
while you are cleaning the windscreen or
wiper blades, you can be trapped bythe

pipe or tailpipe trim
The tailpipe and tailpipe trim can become
ve ry hot. If you come into contact with these
car parts, you could burn yourself. #
Alw ays be particular lycareful when in
th e vicinity of theta ilpipe and tailpipe
trims and supervise children very
closely when in this area. #
Before any con tact, allow the car parts
to cool down. Obser

Wheels/rims Usewate r and acid-free wheel cleaners. R
Do not use acidic wheel cleaners toremo vebrake dust.
This could damage wheel bolts and brake components.
R Toavoid cor rosion of the brake discs and brakepads, drive
th eve hicle for a few minutes af ter cleaning before parking
it. The brake discs and brakepads warm up and dry out.

Clean windowsinside and outside with a damp clo thand with
a cleaning agent recommended for Mercedes-Benz. Do not use dry clo
ths or abrasive or sol vent-based cleaning
agents toclean the inside of windo ws.
