Risk of accident
If the boiling point of the brake fluid is too low,
vapou rpockets may form in the brake system
whe nthe brakes are applie dhard( e.g .when
driving downhill) .Thisw ould impai rbraking
efficiency.
Have the brake fluid renewed every two years
with abrake fluid that ha sbeena pproved by
Mercedes-Benz and have this confirmed in
the Service Booklet.
The warranty is only valid if yo uhavet he vehi-
cle topped up with an antifreeze/corrosion
inhibitor which ha sbeena pproved by
Mercedes-Benz.

! If you fit tyres other than those tested and
recommended by Mercedes-Benz,c harac-
teristics such as handling, noise levels and
fuel consumption, etc. may be adversely
affected. In addition, when driving with a
load, tyre dimensional variations could
cause the tyres to come into contact with
the bodywork and axle components. This
could result in damage to the tyres or the
vehicle.

system are not equipped with the TIREFIT

Therefore, it is recommended that you
additionally equip your vehicle with the
TIREFIT kit* when fitting tyres that do not
feature run-flat properties, e.g. winter
tyres.

changes to the cooling system may be nec-
essary, depending on the vehicle type.
If you have atrailer tow hitch retrofitted,
observe the anchorage points on the chas-

overview)
The 24 GHz rada rsensor system requires
separate approva lfor each country .When
yo ua redriving in acountry in which the radar
sensor system is not approved ,you must
deactivate the system using the on-board
compute r(Ypage 120) .The current country
overview can be obtained fro maMercedes-
Benz Service Centre. The rada
rsensor system is automatically
deactivated nea rradio telescop efacilities .If
Distroni cPlus* or PRE-SAFE ®
Brake* are
activated at thi spoint, acorresponding warn-
ing will appear in the multi-functio ndisplay to
tel lyou tha tthe rada rsen sor system is being
switched off .BAS PLUS* is also no longer
available. If the deactivatio ndoesn ot occur
automatically, yo umustd eactivate the radar
sensor system using the on-board computer
