Reduced pr otection
The AMG sport seat and the AMG Performance
seat are designed forth est andard thre e-point
seat belt. If you ins tall ano ther multipoint seat
belt, e.g. sport or racing seat belts, there stra int
sy stem may not pr ovide the cor rect le vel of pro‐
te ction.
Depending on the type of seat, there may be
openings in the seat backrest. These openings
ha ve no function.

th e seat backrest, the seat backrest may be
damaged or may even break in theeve nt of
an accident.

You can adjust the front seats individually to
adjust the conto ur ofthe seat and toimpr ove
lateral support.

Notes on breaking-in a new vehicle
To preser vethe engine during thefirs t
1, 000 miles (1,500 km):
RDrive at varying road speeds and engine
speeds.
RDo not drive fasterthan 85 mph (140 km/h).
ROnly brief lyallow the engine toreach a maxi‐
mum engine speed of 4,500 rpm
(4,500 1/min) only brief ly.

The rear axle locking dif fere ntial is only
av ailable for the
Merc edes‑AMG E 63 4MATIC and
Mercedes‑AMG E 63 S 4MATIC models.
Changing the oil at there ar axle prolongs the
service life of the dif fere ntial.
Ha ve the oil change car ried out at a qualified
specialist workshop:
RAf ter a breaking-in period of 2000 miles
(3000 km).
REvery 30000 miles (50000 km) or thre e
ye ars.
Operation of the ECO start/s top function
The engine is switched off au tomatical ly:

The AMG ceramic high-per form ance co mpo‐
site brake sy stem is only available for the
Merc edes‑AMG E 63 S 4MATIC model.
The AMG ceramic high-per form ance composite
brake sy stem is designed for heavy loads. This
may lead tonoise when braking.
The noise depends on thefo llowing factors:

REnvironmental conditions such astemp era‐
ture and air humidity
Ha ve the brake sy stem checked at a qualified
specialist workshop af ter it has been subjected
to extreme use.
