Garage door remote con

up yellow.
i Indicator lamp :lights up yellow as soon
as button ;,=or? is programmed for
the first time. If the selected button has
already been programmed ,indicator
lamp :will only light up yellow after ten
seconds have elapsed.
X Rele asebutton ;,=or?.I ndicator
lamp :flashes yellow.
X Point garage doo rremote control A
towards buttons ;to? on the rear-view
mirror at adistance of 5to 20 cm.
i The required distance between remote
control Aand the integrated garage door
opener depends on the garage door drive
system. Several attempt smay be required.
You should test every position for at least
25 seconds before trying another position.
X Press and hold button Bon remote control
A until indicator lamp :lights up green.
If indicator lamp :lights up green or
flashes ,then programming has been suc-
cessful.
X Release button Bof garage door drive
remote con trolA.
X Ifindicator lamp :lights up red: repeat
the programming procedur efor the corre-
spondin gbutton on the rear-view mirror.
When doing so, vary the distance between
remote control Aand the rear-view mirror.
i If the indicator lamp flashes green after
successful programming, the garage door
system is using arollin gcode. Af terp ro- gramming
,you must synchronise the
garage door opener integrated in the rear-
view mirror with the receive rofthe garage
door system.
Synchronising th erolling code
Your vehicle must be within range of the
garage door or exterior gate drive. Make sure
that neither your vehicle nor any persons/
objects are present within the sweep of the
door or gate.
Observe the safety notes when performing
the rolling code synchronisation.
X Turn the key to position 2in the ignition
lock.
X Press the programming button of the door
or gate drive (see the door or gate drive
operating instructions, e.g. under "Pro-
gramming of additional remote controls").
i Usually, you now have 30seconds to ini-
tiate the next step.
X Press previousl yprogramme dbutton ;,
= or? of the integrated garage door
opener until the door closes.
The rolling code synchronisatio nist hen
complete.
Problems when progra mming
If you have problems when programming the
integrated garage door opener, please note
the following:
R Check the transmitter frequency of garage
door driv eremote control A.This can usu-
ally be found on the bac kofthe remote
con trol.
R Replace the batteries in garage door
remote control A.This increases the like-
lihood that garage door remote con trolA
will transmit astron gand precis esignal to
the integrated garage door opener in the
rear-view mirror.
R When programming, hold remote control
A at varying distances and angles from the
button which you are programming. Try var-
ious angles at adistance between 5and Features

Clean the plastic lenses of the exterior
lighting using awet sponge and amild
cleanin gagent, e.g. Mercedes-Ben zcar
shampoo or cleanin gcloths.
Mirror turn signal !
Only use cleanin gagents or cleaning
cloth sthat ar esuitable for plastic lenses.
Unsuitable cleanin gagents or cleaning
cloth scoul dscratch or damag ethe plastic
lenses of th emirror tur nsignals.
X Clean the plastic lenses of the mir rort urn
signals in the exterior mirror housin gusing
aw et sponge and mild cleaning agent ,e.g.
Mercedes -Ben zc ar shampoo or cleaning
cloths.
Cleaning th esensors !
If you clean th esensor swithah igh-pres-
sure cleaner, mak esure that you keep a
distanc eofatl east 30 cm between the
vehicle and th ehigh-pressure cleane rnoz-
zle. Information about the correc tdistance
is available from the equipment manufac-
turer. X
Clean sensors :of the drivin gsystems
with water, car shampo oand asoft cloth. Cleaning th
ereversing camera !
Do not clean the camer alens and the area
around the reversin gcamera with ahigh-
pressure cleaner. X
Use clear water and asoft clot htoclean
camera lens :.
Cleaning the 360° camera !
Do not clean the camera lens and the area
around the 360 °camera with ahigh-pres-
sure cleaner.360 X
Make sure that the vehicle is stationary and
that the key is in position 2in the ignition
lock.
X To open the cover of the 360° camer a:
with COMAND Online activated, press the
W button.
X Select System by turning

For safet yreasons ,Mercedes-Ben zrecom-
mends that you only use batteries which have
been tested and approved for your vehicle by
Mercedes-Benz. These batteries provide
inc reased impact protection to preven tvehi-
cle occupant sfrom suffering aci dburns
should the batter ybedamaged in the event
of an accident.
In order for the batter ytoachieve the maxi-
mum possibl eservic elife, it must always be
sufficiently charged.
The vehicle battery, like other batteries, can
discharge over time if you do not use the
vehicle. In such cases, have the batter ydis-
connected at aqualified specialist workshop.
You can also charge the batter ywith a
charger recommended by Mercedes-Benz.
For more information ,please contact aquali-
fied specialist workshop.
Have the batter ycharge checked mor efre-
quently if yo uuse the vehicle mainl yfor short
trips or if you leav eitstanding idle for a
lengthy period .Consult aqualified specialist
workshop if you wish to leave your vehicle
parked up for along period of time.
i When you par kthe vehicle, remove the
key if you do not requir eany electrical con-
sumers .The vehicle will then use ver ylittle
energy, thus conservin gbatter ypower.
i If the power supply has been interrupted,
e.g. if the batter ywas discharged ,you will
have to:
R set the cloc k.Informatio nonsetting the
cloc kcan be found in the separate oper-
ating instructions. On vehicles with COMAND Online and a
navigation system, the clock is set auto-
matically.
R reset the function for folding the exterior
mirror sin/out automati cally, by folding
the mirror sout onc e(Ypage 11 3). Charging the battery

WARNING
Durin gchargin gand jump-starting, explosive
gases can escap efrom th ebattery. There is a
risk of an explosion.
Particularly avoid fire, naked flames, creating
sparks and smoking. Ensure there is sufficient
ventilation while chargin gand jump-starting.
Do not lean over abattery. G
WARNING
Battery acid is caustic .There is arisk of injury.
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes or clothing.
Do not inhale any battery gases. Do not lean
over the battery. Keep children away from
batteries. Wash battery acid immediately with
water and seek medical attention. G
WARNING
Ad ischarged battery can freeze at tempera-
tures below freezin gpoint .When jump-start-
ing the vehicle or charging the battery ,gases
can escape from the battery. There is arisk of
an explosion.
Allow the frozen battery to thaw out before
charging it or jump-starting.
! Only use battery chargers with amaxi-
mum charging voltage of 14.8 V.
! Only charge the battery using the jump-
start connection point.
Never charge abattery still installed in the
vehicle unless abattery charger unit
approved by Mercedes-Ben zisbeing used. A
batter ycharger uni tspecially adapted for
Mercedes-Benz vehicles and tested and
approved by Mercedes-Benz is available as an 384
