Left-hand side trim panel
You must open the side trim panel in the cargocompartment before you can replace the bulbsin the tail lamps.
XTo open:turn release knobCcounter-clockwise and remove side trim panelD.

Right-hand side trim panel
You must open the side trim panel in the cargocompartment before you can replace the bulbsin the tail lamps.

Tail lamps
Due to their location, have the bulbs in thebackup lamp (vehicles with halogen head-lamps) and rear fog lamp in the tailgatechanged at a qualified specialist workshop.
XSwitch off the lights.
XOpen the cargo compartment.
XOpen the side trim panel (Ypage 108).
XRelease and remove connectorD.
XHold the tail lamp and unscrew fendernutC.
XRemove the tail lamp.

If these conditions are fulfilled, the front passenger seat can beoccupied again. Whether the PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF or ON indi-cator lamp remains lit or goes out depends on how OCS classifiesthe occupant.
If the conditions are not fulfilled, the system is not operating cor-rectly.
XVisit a qualified specialist workshop immediately.
