XInsert new bulb into bulb holderD.
XInsert bulb holderDinto groove with lug attop.
XPush bulb holderDdown until it engagesaudibly.
XPress on housing coverCand turn it clock-wise.
Turn signals
XRemove the cover in the front wheel housing(Ypage 115).
XTurn bulb holderCcounter-clockwise usingthe grip under the headlamp casing andremove it downwards with bulb.
XTurn defective bulb counter-clockwise andremove it from bulb holderC.
XInsert new bulb into bulb holderC.
XInsert bulb holderC, turn it clockwise andlock.
XReplace the cover in the front wheel housing(Ypage 115).
Removing and installing the cover in the
front wheel housing
You must remove the cover of the front wheelhousing before you can change the front turnsignal lamp.
XTo remove:switch off the lights.
XTurn the front wheels inwards.
XTurn rotary knobC180° outwards until itstops using a suitable object.CoverDis released.
XFold coverDup.
XTo install:insert coverDinto the left, rightand two lower catches.
XTurn rotary knobC180° inwards until itstops using a suitable object.CoverDis locked.

Switching the windshield wipers
on/off
!Do not operate the windshield wipers whenthe windshield is dry, as this could damagethe wiper blades. Moreover, dust that has col-lected on the windshield can scratch the glassif wiping takes place when the windshield isdry.
If it is necessary to switch on the windshieldwipers in dry weather conditions, always usewasher fluid when operating the windshieldwipers.
!If the windshield wipers leave smears on thewindshield after the vehicle has been washedin an automatic car wash, wax or other resi-dues may be the reason for this. Clean thewindshield using washer fluid after washingthe vehicle in an automatic car wash.
!Intermittent wiping with rain sensor: due tooptical influences and the windshield becom-ing dirty in dry weather conditions, the wind-shield wipers may be activated inadvertently.This could then damage the windshield wiperblades or scratch the windshield.
