The rear seat backrests may fold forw ards
when you are driving.
As a result, child restraint systems will no lon-
ge r be able toper form their intended pr otec-
tive function. This may also cause additional
injuries. #
Always lock rear seat backrests aTer /t-
ting TopTe ther belts. #
Obser vethe lock veri/cation indicator. If
th e seat backrest is not engaged and loc ked in
place, this will be shown on the display on the
inst rument cluster (folding there ar seat back
elect rically) or there d lock veri/cation indicator
will be visible (folding there ar seat back mechani-
cally).
