NOTE
European/Japanese metric tire sizing is based on European/Jap- anese design standards. Tires designed to these standards havethe tire size molded into the sidewall beginning with the sec- tion width. The letter “P” isabsent from this tire size desig- nation. Example: 215/65R15 96H.LT (Light Truck) -metric tiresizing is based on U.S.A. designstandards. The size designation for LT-metric tires is the same as for P-metric tires except for theletters “LT” that are molded into the sidewall preceding the size designation. Example:LT235/85R16.
Service Description 95
Load index A numerical code associ- ated with the maximum load a tire can carry.
H
Speed symbol A symbol indicating the range of speeds at which a tire can carry a load corre- sponding to its
load index
under certain operating con-ditions.The maximum speed corre- sponding to the speed sym- bol should only be achieved under specified operating conditions. (i.e. tire pressure, vehicle loading, road condi-tions and posted speed lim- its)

The ventilation slots in
front of the wind-

systems will not be impaired.
To prevent freezing of the weatherstripping on the doors, hood, etc., they should be treated with silicone grease.
It is a good idea to carry a shovel or a short- handled spade in the vehicle during the win- ter so that you can clear away snow if you get stranded. A small hand-brush for sweepingsnow off the vehicle a

Replacement of light bulbs 9-22 Vehicle care and maintenance
9
N00942900336
Before replacing a bulb,
be sure the light is
off. Do not touch the glass part of the newbulb with your bare fingers; the oil from your skin will stay on the glass and dim or destroy the bulb when it gets hot.
N00943000099
The bulb should only be replaced with a newbulb with the same rating and type. The typeand rating are listed on the base of the bulb.
N00950301916
If the replacement fuse blows again after a short time, have the electrical systemchecked by a certified i-
MiEV dealer to find
and correct the cause.
Replacement of light bulbs
CAUTION Bulbs are extremely hot immediately after being turned off. When replacing a bulb, wait for it to coolsufficiently before t
ouching it. You could
otherwise be burned.NOTE
If you are unsure of how to carry out the work as required, it is recommended that these procedures be ca
rried out by
a certified
i-MiEV dealer. Be careful not to scratch the vehicle body when removing a light and lens.CAUTION
When it rains, or wh
en the vehicle has been
washed, the inside of the lens sometimesbecomes temporarily foggy. This is the samephenomenon as when window glass mists up on a humid day, and does not indicate a func- tional problem. When the light is switched on, the heat will remove the fog. However, if water collects inside the light, please
have it checked by a
certified i-MiEV dealer.

CAUTION Handle halogen light bul
b with care. The gas
inside a halogen light
bulb is highly pressur-
ized, so dropping, knocki

halogen light bulb can
cause it to shatter.
Never hold the halogen
