SUNROOF
ADJUSTMENT Install motor
&
limit SWassembly andsunroof railassembly inthe following sequence:
1. Arrange equallengths oflink and wire assemblies onboth sides ofsunroof opening.
2. Connect sunroofconnector tosunroof switchandpositive
(+)
power supply.
3. Set lidassembly tofully closed position
m
byoperating OPENswitch andTILT switch.
4. Fitouter sideoflid assembly tothe surface ofroof onbody outer panel.
5. Remove motor,andkeep OPEN switch pressed untilmotor pinion gearreaches theend ofits rotat-
ing range.
6. Install motor.
7. Check thatmotor drivegearfitsproperly inwires.
8. Press TILT-UP switchtocheck lidassembly fornormal tilting.
9. Check sunroof lidassembly fornormal operations (tilt-up,tilt-down, open,andclose).

• After anyadjustment, checksunroof operation andlidalignment.
• Handle finisher plateandglass lidwith care sonot tocause damage.
• Itis desirable foreasy installation tomark eachpoint before removal.
CAUTION:

OK BlownFuse
• Iffuse isblown, besure toeliminate causeofproblem
before installing newfuse.
• Use fuse ofspecified rating.Neverusefuse ofmore than
specified rating.
• Donot partially installfuse;always insertitinto fuse holder
properly.
• Remove fuseforclock ifvehicle isnot used foralong period
of time.

Fusible Link
A melted fusible linkcan bedetected byvisual inspection.
If
its
condition isquestionable, usecircuit testerortest lamp.
CAUTION:
• Iffusible linkshould melt,itis possible thatcritical circuit
(power supplyorlarge current carrying circuit)isshorted.
In such acase, carefully checkandeliminate causeofprob-
lem.
• Never wrapoutside offusible linkwith vinyl tape.
Important: Neverletfusible linktouch anyother wiring har-
ness orvinyl orrubber parts.
Circuit Breaker
For example, whencurrent is30A, thecircuit isbroken within8
to 20 seconds.
Circuit breakers areused inthe following systems.
• Power window
• Power doorlock
• Electric sunroof
