3-6Pre-driving checks and adjustments
The automatic unlock function can be
deactivated or activated.To deactivate or
activate the automatic door unlock �fy�ftem,
per�borm the �bollowing procedure:
1. Clo�fe all door�f.
2. Place the ignition �fwitch in the ON po�fition.
3. Within 20 �fecond�f o�b per�borming Step 2, pu�fh and hold the power door lock �fwitch to
the
po�fition (UNLOCK) �bor more than 5
�fecond�f.
4. When activated, the hazard indicator will �bla�fh twice. When deactivated, the hazard
indicator will �bla�fh once.
5. The ignition �fwitch mu�ft be placed in the OFF and ON po�fition again between each
�fetting change.
When the automatic door unlock �fy�ftem i�f
deactivated, the door�f do not unlock when the
ignition �fwitch i�f placed in the OFF po�fition. To
unlock the door manually, u�fe the in�fide lock
knob or the power door lock �fwitch (driver’�f or
�bront pa�f�fenger’�f �fide) .
LOCKING WITH MECHANICAL KEY
The driver’�f door will be locked or unlocked
u�fing the mechanical key.
1. Pre�f�f the rear end o�b the driver’�f out�fide door handle
*1to li�bt up the �bront end*2.
2. With the out�fide door handle li�bted up, u�fethe mechanical key and turn the key cylinder
cap
*Acounterclockwi�fe to remove.

The emergency trunk lid release mechanism
allows o\fening of the trunk lid in the event that
\feo\fle become locked inside the trunk or in the
event of the loss of electrical \fower such as a
discharged battery\b
Inside the trunk
To o\fen the trunk lid from the inside, \full the
release handle
*1until the lock releases and
\fush u\f on the trunk lid\b The release lever is
made of a material that glows in the dark after a
brief ex\fosure to ambient light\b
The handle is located on the back of the trunk lid
as illustrated\b
From the passenger compartment
The trunk can be o\fened with the emergency
trunk lid o\fener located on the floor in front of
the \fassenger’s seat\b
1\b Remove the board located on the floor in front of the \fassenger’s seat\b
2\b Insert the mechanical key into the emer-gency trunk lid o\fener and turn it clockwise
until it sto\fs\b
NOTE:
Because the trunk rigidity has been in-
creased to handle the high load on the rear
spoiler during vehicle operation, more
force is required to operate the mechanical
key (particularly when the vehicle is new) .
Be sure to turn the key clockwise until it
stops.

OPENING THE FUEL FILLER DOOR
1. Unlock the fuel-filler door by u\fing one of thefollowing oper\btion\f.
.Pu\fh the door h\bndle reque\ft \fwitch
with the Intelligent Key c\brried with you.
.Pu\fh the UNLOCK button on the In-
telligent Key.
.Pu\fh the power door lock \fwitch to the
UNLOCK po\fition.
2. Pre\f\f the re\br \fide of the fuel-filler door to rele\b\fe the door lock, \bnd open the door.3. Turn the c\bp*1\flowly counterclockwi\fe to
remove it.
During refueling, pl\bce the c\bp on the in\fide
of the door
*2.
CLOSING THE FUEL-FILLER DOOR
1. Turn the c\bp clockwi\fe until \b \fingle click
\found i\f he\brd.
2. Clo\fe the door. Lock the fuel-filler door by u\fing one of the following oper\btion\f.
. Pu\fh the door h\bndle reque\ft \fwitch with
the Intelligent Key c\brried with you.
. Pu\fh the LOCK button on the Intelligent
Key.

2. Fit the jack head into the rece\f\f*Aof the
jack-up point \by turning the jack\fcrew
clockwi\fe with your finger\f.
3. Loo\fen each wheel nut one or two turn\f \by turning counterclockwi\fe with the wheel nut
wrench. Do not remove the wheel nuts
until the tire is off the ground.4. Carefully rai\fe the vehicle until the tire clear\f the ground. To lift the vehicle, \fecurely hold
the jack lever and rod with \both hand\f a\f
\fhown a\bove.

5. Remove the wheel nuts and then remove thewheel.
NOTE:
When putting a wheel on the ground,
put it down with the outer side of the
wheel facing up to prevent scratching
of the wheel surface.6. Clean an\f mud or dirt from the surface\between the \brake disc rotor
*1and wheel

7. Tighten the wheel nuts \b\f hand \b\f turningthem clockwise until the tapered part
*Aof
each nut lightl\f contacts the seat part
*Bof
the wheel hole.
When replacing a front wheel, make sure the
hole in the wheel is aligned with the pin on
the \brake disc rotor.
