All U.S. states and Canadian provinces or
territories require the use of approved child
restraints for infants and small children. For
additional information, refer to “Child re-
straints” in this section.
A child restraint may be secured in the ve-
hicle by using either the LATCH (Lower An-
chors and Tethers for CHildren) system or
with the vehicle seat belt. For additional
information, refer to “Child restraints” in this
section.
NISSAN recommends that all pre-teens
and children be restrained in the rear
seat. Studies show that children are
safer when properly restrained in the
rear seat than in the front seat.
This is especially important because
your vehicle has a supplemental re-
straint system (air bag system) for the
front passenger. For additional informa-
tion, refer to “Supplemental Restraint
System (SRS)” in this section.
INFANTS
Infants up to at least 1 year old should be
placed in a rear-facing child restraint.
NISSAN recommends that infants be
placed in child restraints that comply with
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards orCanadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
You should choose a child restraint that fits
your vehicle and always follow the manu-
facturer’s instructions for installation and
use.
SMALL CHILDREN
Children that are over 1 year old and weigh
at least 20 lbs. (9 kg) should remain in a
rear-facing child restraint as long as pos-
sible up to the height or weight limit of the
child restraint. Children who outgrow the
height or weight limit of the rear-facing
child restraint and are at least 1 year old
should be secured in a forward-facing child
restraint with a harness. Refer to the manu-
facturer’s instructions for minimum and
maximum weight and height recommen-
dations. NISSAN recommends that small
children be placed in child restraints that
comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standards or Canadian Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards. You should choose a
child restraint that fits your vehicle and al-
ways follow the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions for installation and use.
LARGER CHILDREN
Children should remain in a forward-facing
child restraint with a harness until they
reach the maximum height or weight limit
allowed by the child restraint manufac-
turer.
Once a child outgrows the height or weight
limit of the harness-equipped forward-
facing child restraint, NISSAN recommends
that the child be placed in a commercially
available booster seat to obtain proper
seat belt fit. For a seat belt to fit properly, the
booster seat should raise the child so that
the shoulder belt is properly positioned
across the chest and the top, middle por-
tion of the shoulder. The shoulder belt
should not cross the neck or face and
should not fall off the shoulder. The lap belt
should lie snugly across the lower hips or
upper thighs, not the abdomen. A booster
seat can only be used in seating positions
that have a three-point type seat belt. The
booster seat should fit the vehicle seat and
have a label certif ying that it complies with
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards or
Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

WARNING
∙ The seat belts, the side air bags andcurtain air bags are most effective
when you are sitting well back and
upright in the seat with both feet on
the floor. The side air bag and curtain
air bag inflate with great force. Do not
allow anyone to place their hand, leg
or face near the side air bag on the
side of the seatback of the front seat
or near the side roof rails. Do not allow
anyone sitting in the front seats or
rear outboard seats to extend their
hand out of the window or lean
against the door. Some examples of
dangerous riding positions are shown
in the previous illustrations.
WARNING
∙ When sitting in the rear seat, do nothold onto the seatback of the front
seat. If the side air bag inflates, you
may be seriously injured. Be espe-
cially careful with children, who
should always be properly restrained.
Some examples of dangerous riding

∙ Do not use seat covers on the front seatbacks. They may interfere with
side air bag inflation.

This vehicle is equipped with a speedom-
eter and odometer. The speedometer is
located on the right side of the meter clus-
ter. The odometer is located within the ve-
hicle information display.
Speedometer
The speedometer indicates vehicle speed.

If the power steering warning light illumi-
nates while the engine is running, it may
indicate the power steering is not function-
ing properly and may need servicing. Have
the power steering checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
When the power steering warning light illu-
minates with the engine running, there will
be no power assist for the steering, but you
will still have control of the vehicle. At this
time, greater steering effort is required to
operate the steering wheel, especially in
sharp turns and at low speeds.

steering” in the “Starting and driving” sec-
tion of this manual.
Seat belt warning light andchime
The light and chime remind you to fasten
your seat belts. The light illuminates when-
ever the ignition switch is placed in the ON
or START position and remains illuminated
until the driver’s seat belt is fastened. At the
same time, the chime sounds for about
6 seconds unless the driver’s seat belt is
securely fastened. The seat belt warning light may also illumi-
nate if the front passenger’s seat belt is not
fastened when the front passenger’s seat
is occupied. For 7 seconds af ter the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position, the sys-
tem does not activate the warning light for
the front passenger.

Supplemental air bag
warning light
When the ignition switch is placed in the ON
or START position, the supplemental air
bag warning light illuminates for about
7 seconds and then turns off. This means
the system is operational.
If any of the following conditions occur, the
front air bag, side air bag, curtain air bag,
and pretensioner seat belt systems need
servicing:
∙ The supplemental air bag warning light remains on af ter approximately 7 sec-
onds.
∙ The supplemental air bag warning light flashes intermittently. ∙ The supplemental air bag warning light
does not come on at all.
It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for these services.
Unless checked and repaired, the supple-
mental restraint system (air bag system)
and/or the pretensioner(s) may not func-
tion properly. For additional information, re-
fer to “Supplemental Restraint System
(SRS)” in the “Safety—Seats, seat belts and
supplemental restraint system” section of
this manual.
WARNING
If the supplemental air bag warning
light is on, it could mean that the front
air bag, side air bag, curtain air bag
and/or pretensioner systems will not
operate in an accident. To help avoid
injury to yourself or others, have your
vehicle checked as soon as possible. It is
recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for this service.

RESETTING THE DRIVE COMPUTER
1. Press theorbuttons
until you reach the desired drive com-
puter mode.
NOTE:
Once you have a drive computer dis-
played, you can use the
andbuttons to switch between

3. Select one of the following items: ∙ “Cancel” — returns to the previous screen without resetting the trip com-
puter.
∙ Drive computer value – “Average Speed” - resets the averagespeed of the selected drive com-
puter. – “Distance” - resets the distance and
time of the selected drive computer.
– “Fuel Economy” - resets the fuel economy of the selected drive com-
puter.
∙ “All” — resets all linked values for the se- lected drive computer. This includes
distance and time, average fuel
economy and average speed informa-
tion for the selected drive computer.
NOTE:
Drive computer 2 will automatically reset
each time the ignition is placed in the
OFF position.

Vehicle Settings
The vehicle settings allow the user to change the settings for lights, wipers, locking, keys, and other vehicle settings.

Lighting Displays the available lighting options.
Welcome Light Allows user to turn the welcome light on or off.
Auto Room Lamp Allows user to turn the auto room lamp on or off.
Light Sensitivity (if so equipped) Allows user to change when the lights illuminate based on the brightness outside the vehicle.
Light Off Delay (if so equipped) Allows user to change the duration of time that the automatic headlights stay on af ter the vehicle is shut off.
Turn indicator Displays the available turn indicator options.
3 Flash Pass Allows user to turn the 3 flash pass feature on or off.
Locking Displays the available locking options.
I-Key Door Lock (if so equipped) Allows user to turn I-Key door lock on or off. When turned on, the request switch on the door is activated.
Selective Unlock Allows user to turn selective unlock on or off. When turned on, only the driver’s door is unlocked af ter the door unlock
operation. When the door handle request switch on the driver’s or front passenger’s side door is pushed to be
unlocked, only the corresponding door is unlocked first. All the doors can be unlocked if the door unlock operation is
performed again within 5 seconds. When this item is turned off, all the doors will be unlocked af ter the door unlock
operation is performed once.
Auto Door Unlock Allows the user to customize the auto door unlock options.
Answer Bk. Horn Allows user to turn answer back horn on or off. When turned on, the horn will chirp and the hazard indicators will flash
once when locking the vehicle with the Intelligent Key.
Wipers Displays the available wiper options.
Speed Dependent Allows user to turn wiper with speed on or off.
Reverse Link (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the reverse link feature on or off.
Drip Wipe Allows user to turn the drip wipe feature on or off.
Remote Start (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the Remote Engine Start on or off. When turned on, the engine can be restarted remotely. For ad-
ditional information, refer to “Remote Engine Start” in the “Pre-driving checks and adjustments” section of this manual.
Battery Saver (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the battery saver on or off. When turned on, the battery saver automatically turns off the ignition
af ter a period of time when the ignition switch is lef t in the ON position.
Driving Position (if so equipped) Displays the available driving position options.
Exit Seat Slide Allows the user to turn the exit seat slide on or off. When turned on, this feature will move the driver’s seat backward
for an easy exit when the ignition is turned off and the driver’s door is opened. Af ter getting into the vehicle and plac-
ing the ignition switch in the ON position, the driver’s seat will move to the previous set position. For additional
information, refer to “Automatic drive positioner” in the “Pre-driving checks and adjustments” section of this manual.

4. Confirm that thesecurity indica-
tor light stays on for about 30 seconds.
The vehicle security system is now pre-
armed. The vehicle security system will
automatically shif t into the armed
phase. The
security light begins
to flash once every three seconds. If
during the pre-armed phase one of the
following occurs, the system will not
arm:
∙ Any door is unlocked with the key fob (if so equipped), the Intelligent Key (if so
equipped), mechanical key, or door re-
quest switch.
∙ Ignition switch is placed in the ON posi- tion.
∙ Even when the driver and/or passen-
gers are in the vehicle, the system will
activate with all the doors, hood and
lif tgate locked with the ignition
switch placed in the LOCK position.
When placing the ignition switch in
the ON position, the system will be
released.
Vehicle security system activation
The vehicle security system will give the
following alarm:
∙
The headlights blink and the horn
sounds intermittently but synchronously.
∙ The alarm automatically turns off af ter a period of time. However, the alarm
reactivates if the vehicle is tampered
with again.
The alarm is activated by: ∙ opening any door or the lif tgate without using the key or Intelligent Key (even if
the door is unlocked by releasing the
door inside lock knob).
How to stop an activated alarm
The alarm stops only by unlocking a door
or the lif tgate with the mechanical key the
key fob (if so equipped), pressing the
button on the Intelligent Key (if so
equipped), or pushing the request switch
on the driver’s or passenger’s door with the
Intelligent Key (if so equipped) in range of
the door handle.
NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER
SYSTEM
The NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System
will not allow the engine to start without
the use of a registered key.
Never leave these keys in the vehicle.

The E-call (SOS) system switch is used in
combination with a NissanConnect® Ser-
vices subscription to call for assistance in
case of an emergency.
Pushing the switch will (with a paid sub-
scription) reach a Response Specialist that
will provide assistance based on the situa-
tion described by the vehicle’s occupant.

12V OUTLETS
The power outlets are for powering electri-
cal accessories such as cellular tele-
phones. They are rated at 12 volt, 120W (10A)
maximum.
The front and center console power outlets
are powered only when the ignition switch
is in the ON position, or while the accessory
power is active.NOTE:
∙ When the ignition is in the OFF position, the front and center console power
outlets stop delivering power one min-
ute af ter the door is opened and stays
open.
∙ If the door remains closed af ter the ig- nition is placed in the OFF position, the
front and center console power outlets
continue to deliver power until the ac-
cessory power timer has elapsed.
∙ The cargo area power outlet(s) contin- ues to deliver power normally.

Only attach the hook and loop fastener on
the cargo cover privacy cloth to the area on
the rear seatback where it is supposed to
be attached. Otherwise, the seat surface
could be damaged.
To remove the cargo cover:
1Remove the straps from the rear
hatch.
2Remove the edge of the cargo cover
privacy cloth from the rear seatback.
3Remove the cargo cover holders from
the rear pillar.
ROOF RACK (if so equipped)
Do not apply any load directly to the roof
side rails. Cross bars must be installed be-
fore applying load/cargo/luggage to the
roof of the vehicle. Genuine NISSAN acces-
sory cross bars are available through a
NISSAN dealer. It is recommended that you
visit a NISSAN dealer for additional informa-
tion.
The service load capacity for the roof side
rails is 165 lbs. (74 kg), however do not ex-
ceed the accessory cross bars load capac-
ity. Be careful that your vehicle does not ex-
ceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
(GVWR) or its Gross Axle Weight Rating
(GAWR front and rear). The GVWR and GAWR
are located on the F.M.V.S.S. or C.V.M.S.S. cer-
tification label (located on the driver’s door
pillar). For additional information regarding
GVWR and GAWR, refer to “Vehicle loading
information” in the “Technical and con-
sumer information” section of this manual.
WARNING
∙ Always install the cross bars onto the
roof side rails before loading cargo of
any kind. Loading cargo directly onto
the roof side rails or the vehicle’s roof
may cause vehicle damage.
∙ Drive extra carefully when the vehicle is loaded at or near the cargo carrying
capacity, especially if the significant
portion of that load is carried on the
cross bars.
∙ Heavy loading of the cross bars has the potential to affect the vehicle sta-
bility and handling during sudden or
unusual handling maneuvers.
∙ Roof rack cross bars should be evenly distributed.

To open a window, push the switch to the
first detent and continue to hold down until
the desired window position is reached. To
close a window, pull the switch to the first
detent and continue to hold up until the
desired window position is reached.
Locking passengers’ windows
When the window lock switch is depressed,
only the driver’s side window can be
opened or closed. Push it again to cancel
the window lock function.
Front passenger’s power window
switch
The passenger’s window switch operates
only the corresponding passenger’s win-
dow. To open the window partially, push the
switch down
1lightly until the desired
window position is reached. To close the
window partially, pull the switch up

Rear power window switch
The rear power window switches open or
close only the corresponding windows. To
