2. SYSTEM CHECK
With CONSULT-II
CAUTION:
If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be
detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
1. Connect CONSULT-II, and select “COMB SW” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
2. Select “DATA MONITOR”.
3. Select “START”, and confirm that other switches in malfunction-
ing system operate normally.
Example: Check that the switches of INPUT5 and OUTPUT1 if the TURN RH is malfunction.
–INPUT5
Check that the ON-OFF operation of “HEAD LAMP SW 1”, “HI BEAM SW” and “LIGHT SW 1ST” is nor-
mal.
–OUTPUT5
Check that the ON-OFF operation of “TURN SIGNAL L”, “FR WIPER LOW” and “FR WASHER SW” is
normal.
Without CONSULT-II
Check combination switch INPUT/OUTPUT signal. Refer to LT- 1 7 9 , "
Terminals and Reference Values for
BCM" .
Check results
Other switches in malfunctioning system operate normally.>>Replace lighting switch or wiper switch.
Other switches in malfunctioning system do not operate normally.>>GO TO 3.
