Turn Signal Indicator Lamp Does Not IlluminateBKS001PY
1. CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP.
1. Select “METER A/C AMP” on CONSULT-II, and perform self-
diagnosis for “METER A/C AMP”.
2. Check if malfunction is indicated.
Is malfunction indicated?
YES >> Repair or Replace malfunctioning parts.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN COMBINATION SWITCH AND BCM
1. Select “METER A/C AMP” on CONSULT-II.
2. Select “DATA MONITOR” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
Make sure that “TURN IND” turns ON-OFF according to turn sig-
nal switch operation.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace combination meter. Refer to DI-25, "Disassem-
bly and Assembly of Combination Meter" .
NG >> Replace unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to DI-34,
"Removal and Installation of Unified Meter and A/C
Amp." .
Turn Signal Lamps Do Not Go OFFBKS003PQ
1. PERFORM BCM ACTIVE TEST
1. Select “BCM” on CONSULT-II, and select “HEAD LAMP” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
2. Select “ACTIVE TEST” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
3. Select “FLASHER” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
Does turn signal lamp turn OFF?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-16, "
Removal and Installa-
tion of BCM" .

2. CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN COMBINATION SWITCH AND BCM
With CONSULT-II
1. Select “BCM” on CONSULT-II, and select “FLASHER” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
2. Select “DATA MONITOR” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
Make sure that “TURN SIGNAL R” and “TURN SIGNAL L” turns
ON-OFF according to turn signal switch operation.
Without CONSULT-II
Refer to LT- 1 8 5 , "
Combination Switch Inspection" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Check combination switch (lighting switch). Refer to LT- 1 8 5 , "
Combination Switch Inspection" .
3. CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN HAZARD SWITCH AND BCM
1. Select “BCM” on CONSULT-II. Select “FLASHER” on “SELECT TEST ITEM” screen.
2. Select “DATA MONITOR” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
Make sure that “HAZARD SW” turns ON-OFF according to haz-
ard switch operation.
Without CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Remove hazard switch.
3. Check continuity between hazard switch terminals.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-16, "Removal and Installa-
tion of BCM" .
NG >> Replace hazard switch. Refer to LT- 1 7 7 , "
Removal and
Installation" . When turn signal switch is
in the OFF position: TURN SIGNAL R OFF
: TURN SIGNAL L OFF

SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP
1. Remove side turn signal lamp. Refer to LT- 1 7 5 , "Removal and Installation" .
2. Turn bulb socket counterclockwise and unlock it.
3. Remove bulb.
FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP
Refer to LT- 3 5 , "Bulb Replacement" .
REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP
Refer to LT- 2 1 6 , "Bulb Replacement" .

SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP
Removal
1. While pressing side turn signal lamp to direction A (vehicle
front), pull it to direction B and then remove it.
2. Disconnect side turn signal lamp connector.
NOTE:
Support side turn signal lamp harness with tape so that it won't
fall into the front fender.
CAUTION:
Install the side turn signal lamp housing with the bead fac-
ing up.
Installation
Installation is the reverse order of removal.
FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP
Refer to LT- 3 6 , "Removal and Installation" .
REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP
Refer to LT- 2 1 6 , "Removal and Installation" . Side turn signal lamp : 12V - 5W

REMOVAL
1. Remove steering column cover. Refer to IP-10, "INSTRUMENT
PANEL ASSEMBLY" .
2. While pressing pawls in direction as shown in the figure, pull
lighting and turn signal switch toward driver door and disconnect
from the base.
INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL
1. Remove cluster lid D. Refer to IP-10, "INSTRUMENT PANEL
ASSEMBLY" .
2. Disconnect connector.
3. Remove screw and remove hazard switch integral with center
ventilator grille from cluster lid D.
4. Pawl on rearward and remove hazard switch.
INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Check combination switch system terminal waveform under the loaded condition with lighting
switch, turn signal switch and wiper switch OFF not to be fluctuated by overloaded.

Turn wiper intermittent dial position to 4 except when checking waveform or voltage of wiper inter-
mittent dial position. Wiper intermittent dial position can be confirmed on CONSULT-II. Refer to LT-
184, "DATA MONITOR" .
