Driving





Speed limiter
System which prevents the vehicle fromexceeding the speed programmed by the driver.
When the programmed speed limit is reached,
pressing the accelerator pedal in the normalmanner no longer has any effect.
The speed limiter is switched onmanually: the programmed speed must be at least 20 mph (30 km/h).
The speed limiter is switched off
by manual foperation of the control.
The programmed speed can be exceeded
temporarily by pressing the accelerator firmly.
To return to the programmed speed, simply slow down to a speed below the programmed speed.

The speed limiter cannot, in any circumstances,replace the need to respect speed limits, nor can it replace the need for vigilance and responsibility on the par t of the driver.

The controls of this system are grouped
together on stalk A.1.Speed limiter mode selection thumb wheel.2. Value decrease button. 3.

You do not have to switch the speed limiter
on in order to set the speed.



Programming
Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed speed will not have
any effect unless you press the pedal firmlypast the ypoint of resistance.e The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the programmed speed,
which is still displayed, flashes.
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional
deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of theprogrammed speed.

Leaving limiter mode
)
Turn thumb wheel 1to the "0"
position:
the speed limiter mode is deselected. The
displa
y returns to the distance recorder.
On a steep descent or in the event of sharp acceleration, the speed limiter willnot be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- do not fit one mat on top of another.

In the event o
f a speed limiter fault, the speed
is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.


Operating fault
)Set the speed value by pressing button 2or 3(e.g.: 55 mph(90 km/h)).
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2 and 3:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press.

)Switch the speed limiter back on by pressing button 4
again.

: the display confirms that it has been switched off (PAUS E).

Cruise control
System which automatically maintains thespeed of the vehicle at the value programmed
by the driver, without any action on the accelerator pedal.
The cruise control is switched on
manually: itrequires a minimum vehicle speed of 25 mph(40 km/h), as well as the engagement of:
-
fourth gear on a manual gearbox,
- second gear on an electronic or automaticgearbox, in sequential mode,
- position A
on an electronic gearbox or position D
on an automatic gearbox.
Th
e cruise control is switched offmanuallyfor by pressing the brake or clutch pedal or on
triggering of the electronic stability system for safety reasons.
It is possible to exceed the programmed speed
temporarily by pressing the accelerator pedal. To return to the programmed speed, simply release the accelerator pedal. Switching off the ignition cancels any programmed speed value. The controls of this s
ystem are grouped
together on stalk A .

Intentional or unintentional exceedin
g of the programmed speed results
in flashing of this speed in the screen.
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or
unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels theflashing of the speed.
When the cruise control is switched on,be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speedchanging buttons: this may result in avery rapid change in the speed of your vehicle.
Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- never fit one mat on top of another.

In the event o
f a cruise control malfunction,
the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the
dashes. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

Park Assist


This system provides active assistance with parking, detecting a parking space then controlling the steering to park in the space.
It controls the steering while the driver manages the accelerator, brakes, gears and clutch (manual gearbox). During phases of entry into and exit from
a parking space, the system provides visual and audible information to the driver in order to make the manoeuvre safe. It may be necessary to move
forwards and backwards more than once.

For entry into a parking space (parallel
parking) the system does not detect spaces which are clearly much smaller or larger than the size of the vehicle.
This "parking assistance" system is activated automatically duringmanoeuvres; it is therefore possible that a symbol comes on in the screen,accompanied by an audible signal,without affecting the manoeuvre.
When Park Assist is activated, it prevents a change to STOP mode of Stop & Star t. In STOP mode, activationof Park Assist restarts the engine.



The Park Assist system cannot in anycircumstances replace the care and responsibility of the driver.
The driver must remain in control of their vehicle ensuring that the space remains clear during the manoeuvre. In some circumstances, the sensors may not detect small obstacles located in their blind spots.
During a manoeuvre the steering wheel
turns quickly: do not hold the steering wheel, do not place your hand betweenthe spokes of the steering wheel andtake care with loose and bulky clothing,scarves, handbags... There is a risk of injury.

The s
ystem provides assistance in entering and exiting a parking space when parallel parking.
The driver can take control at any time by gripping the steering wheel.

Entering a parking space
)When you have identified a free space,
reduce the speed of the vehicle to amaximum of 12 mph (20 km/h).
)Position your vehicle before this space.
)Press this control to activate the Park Assist system. A message is displayed in the screen. The indicator lamp in the control remains off.)Select the enter parking space manoeuvre.
The indicator lamp in the control comes on.
) Operate the direction indicator on the
parking side.
) Move for wards alongside the parking space at a speed below 12 mph (20 km/h)
to measure it, keeping at a distance of
between 0.5 and 1.5 metres from the row of
parked vehicles.
A messa
ge is displayed.
Once measurement is complete, if the space is large enough a message indicates that parking is possible.
)Move your vehicle for ward until a newmessage is displayed.
)Select reverse and release the steering
wheel.

the "parking assistance" system, until the end
of manoeuvre message is displayed.
The indicator lamp in the control goes off,

Exit from a parking space
)
With the vehicle stationary, press thiscontrol to activate the Park Assist system.
A message is displayed in the screen. The
indicator lamp in the control remains o
ff. ) Select the exit parking space manoeuvre.
The indicator lamp in the control comes on.
) Operate the direction indicator on the exit
from parking side.The direction indicator warning lamp flashes in the instrument panel throughout
the manoeuvre, whatever the position of
the stalk.
) Select a forward or reverse gear then release the steering wheel.

)
When you want to exit from a parallel
parking space, star t the engine.

The assisted exit
from parking manoeuvre is in
progress.
Without exceeding 5 mph (8 km/h), continue the
manoeuvres following the information given by
the "parking assistance" system, until the endof manoeuvre message is displayed.
The manoeuvre is complete once the front wheels
of the vehicle are out of the parking space.
The indicator lamp in the control goes off,
accompanied by a audible signal.

In bad weather and in winter, ensurethat the sensors are not covered by road dir t, ice or snow.
In the event of a fault, have the systemchecked by a PEUGEOT dealer or aqualified workshop.



If the system is deactivated during a manoeuvre, the drive should reactivate it manually to repeat the measurement.


If the lateral distance between your vehicleand the space is too great, the system may not be able to measure the space.
Anything projecting beyond the envelope of the vehicle (long or wide load) is nottaken into account by the Park Assist system during a manoeuvre.
Deactivation
A message is displayed in the screen.
Th
e driver then takes back control of thevehicle's steering.
The system is deactivated automatically:
- on switching off the ignition,
- if the en
gine stalls,
- if no manoeuvre is star ted within 5 minutes
of selection of the type of manoeuvre,
- after a prolonged stop of the vehicle during a manoeuvre,
- if the road wheel anti-spin regulation (ASR) is triggered,
- if the speed of the vehicle exceeds the
stated limit,
- when the driver interrupts movement of the
steerin
g wheel,
- if the driver presses the Park Assist control.
- if correct positionin
g of the vehicle is not possible (too many manoeuvres needed toinser t or extract the vehicle),
- if the driver's door is open,
- if one of the front wheels encounters anobstacle.


Switching off

The system is switched off automatically:


- when towing a trailer,

- if the driver's door is opened,

- if the speed of the vehicle is above 42 mph(70 km/h).
To switch the system of for a prolonged period,contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.


Operating faults

In the event of a fault with the system,
this warning lamp is displayed in the
instrument panel and/or a message appears in the screen, accompanied by an audible signal (short beep). The indicator lamp in the control flashes for a
few seconds. If the problem occurs while using
the system, the indicator lamp goes off.

Visibility

With dipped or main beams, this functionmakes use of the beam from a front foglamp to
illuminate the inside of a bend, when the vehicle speed is below 25 mph (approximately 40 km/h)(urban driving, winding road, intersections, parking manouevres...).

This function starts:

- when reverse gear is engaged.
