Interior mirror
Adjustable mirror permitting central
rearward vision.
Adjustment
Adjust the mirror to direct it correctly
in the "day" position.
As a safety precaution, the mirrors
must be adjusted to reduce the
"blind spot". Automatic day/night model
System which automatically and gradu-
ally changes between the day and night
uses.
To avoid glare, the interior mirror darkens
automatically in relation to the intensity of
the light from the rear.
It clears as soon as the light (light beam
of vehicles behind, sun...) decreases,
so providing optimum visibility.
Switching on
Switch on the ignition and press
switch 1 .
The indicator light 2 comes on and the
mirror operates in automatic mode.
Manual model
The mirror is fitted with a night anti-
dazzle device.
Day/night position
Pull the lever to change to the "night"
anti-dazzle position.
Push the lever to change to the normal "day" position. Switching off
Press switch 1 .
The indicator light 2 switches off and
the mirror remains at its clearest.
In order to provide optimum visibility
during your manoeuvres, the mirror
clears automatically when reverse
gear is engaged.

STEERING WHEEL
ADJUSTMENT
The height and depth of the steering wheel can be adjusted to adapt the driving position to the size of the driver.
Adjustment
When stationary, pull the control to
unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering
wheel.
As a safety precaution, it is impera-
tive that these operations are carried
out while the vehicle is stationary.
SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sunlight from the front or the side, also equipped
with an illuminated courtesy mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the con-
c e a l i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t a u t o -
matically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder.
TOLL CARD/CAR PARK TICKET
WINDOWS
F a c i l i t y f o r a f fi x i n g t o l l c a r d s a n d / o r c a r
park tickets.
These windows are located on each
side of the base of the interior mirror.
T h e y a r e t w o n o n - r e fl e c t i v e a r e a s o f t h e
athermic windscreen.
The athermic windscreen limits
heating of the passenger compart-
ment by reducing the effects of the
sun’s rays (ultra-violet). It consists
o f a r e fl e c t i v e l a y e r , w h i c h a l s o
blocks certain radio-electric signals
(toll card payments, ...).

Glove box with light
This has an upper open storage com-
partment and locations for storing a
small bottle of water, the vehicle’s hand-
book, ...
Its lid has locations for storing a pen,
tokens, cards, cans, ...
I t m a y b e fi t t e d w i t h a l o c k .
To open the glove box, raise the
handle.
It is lit when the lid is opened.
Raise the lid to gain access to the
ashtray and the lighter.
To empty the ashtray, after opening,
remove its receptacle.
To use the lighter, press it and wait
a few seconds until it pops out auto-
matically.
To connect a 12 V accessory (max
power: 120 Watts), remove the lighter and connect the appropriate
adaptor.
It houses the front passenger air bag
disarming switch
A .
I f t h e v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g ,
it provides access to the ventilation nozzle
B , which can be opened or closed, distrib-
uting the same conditioned air as the vents
in the passenger compartment.
It also permits access to the fuse box in
the fascia (refer to the "Practical infor-
mation - § Changing a fuse" section). Ashtray with light/Lighter

Hooks Hooked onto the stowing rings, this ena-
bles you to secure your luggage, either
to the bottom of the boot or to the back
of the rear seats.
Rear shelf (Saloon)
To remove the shelf:
unhook the two cords,
raise the shelf slightly, then remove it. The hooks permit the securing of shop-
ping bags. Luggage retaining net
When changing a wheel
The hooks permit easy access to
the spare wheel by retaining the
boot carpet by means of its cord.
You have two storage options:
- either upright behind the front seats,
- or upright behind the rear seats.

The vehicle will relock automatically
after thirty seconds unless a door is
opened. This system prevents unin-
tentional unlocking.
The folding and unfolding of the
exterior mirrors can be deactivated
by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key.
Lost keys
Visit a PEUGEOT dealer with the vehi-
c l e ’ s V 5 r e g i s t r a t i o n c e r t i fi c a t e a n d y o u r
p e r s o n a l i d e n t i fi c a t i o n d o c u m e n t s .
Your PEUGEOT dealer will be able to re-
trieve the key code and the transponder
code to order a replacement key.
Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,
you are informed by lighting of
this warning light, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
Unlocking and partial opening
of the rear screen (SW)
Press this button for more
than two seconds to partially
open the rear screen. This
action will unlock the vehicle
fi r s t .
The boot and the rear screen cannot
both be open at the same time.

Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the starting code.
Turn the key fully towards the fascia
to position 3 (Starting) .
When the engine starts, release the
key.
Switching the vehicle off
Immobilise the vehicle.
Turn the key fully towards you to position 1
(Stop) .
Remove the key from the ignition switch.
Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle
battery, replacement of the remote control
battery or in the event of a remote control
malfunction, you can no longer unlock,
lock or locate your vehicle.
First of all, use the key in the lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.
Reinitialisation
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition) .
Press the closed padlock immediately
for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational
again.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.

Slide the new battery into its location
observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Reinitialise the remote control. This replacement battery is avail-
able from PEUGEOT dealers.

sage on the multifunction display.
Locating your vehicle
To locate your vehicle, if you have
