Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Maximum
coolant
temperature fi x e d r e d .
The temperature of the
cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
topping up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Engine oil
pressure fi x e d . There is a fault with the
engine lubrication system. Stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging circuit
has a fault (dirty or loose
terminals, slack or cut
alternator belt, ...). This lamp should switch off when the engine is
started.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Door(s) open fi x e d i f t h e
speed is
below 6 mph (10 km/h).
A door, the boot, the rear
screen or the bonnet is still
open. Close the door or boot.
fi x e d a n d

by an audible signal if the speed is
above 6 mph (10 km/h).
Directional
headlamps fl a s h i n g . The directional headlamps
system is faulty. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Warning lamp is on Cause Action/Observations
Airbags temporarily.
This lamp comes on for
a few seconds when you
turn on the ignition, then
switches off. This lamp should switch off when the engine is
started.
If it does not switch off, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
fi x e d . One of the airbag or seat
belt pretensioner systems
has a fault. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Front seat
belt not
fastened/
unfastened fi x e d t h e n

accompanied by an
increasing
audible signal. The driver and/or the front
passenger has not fastened
or has unfastened their seat
belt.
Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the
buckle.
Rear seat belt
not fastened/ unfastened fi x e d t h e n

accompanied
by an audible signal. One or more rear
passengers have
unfastened their seat belt.
Power
steering fi x e d . The power steering has a
fault. Drive carefully at reducd speed.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Water in
Diesel fi x e d . T h e d i e s e l fi l t e r c o n t a i n s
water. Risk of damage to the injection system on Diesel
engines.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer without delay.
Punctured
wheel fi x e d . One or more wheels are
punctured or seriously
d e fl a t e d . Stop immediately avoiding any sharp action on
the steering wheel or the brakes.
Repair or change the damaged wheel and have
the pressure of the tyres checked as soon as
possible.

No person or object must prevent
the seat slide from returning to its
initial position; return to this posi-
tion is necessary for the seat to
lock in place.
Take care not to trap the seat belt
to avoid hindering the passage of
the rear passengers.
4. Access to rear seats (3-door)
Pull the handle to fold the seat back
and move the seat forwards. On re-
positioning, the seat returns to its
initial position. 5 . H e a d r e s t r a i n t h e i g h t a d j u s t m e n t
To raise the head restraint, pull it up-
wards.
To remove the head restraint, press
the lug A and pull the head restraint
upwards.
To put the head restraint back in po-
sition, locate the stems of the head
restraint in the holes, taking care
to keep them in line with the seat
back.
To lower the head restraint, press
the lug A and the head restraint at
the same time. The head restraint has a frame with
a notch which prevents the head
restraint from lowering; this is a
safety device which provides pro-
tection in the event of an impact.
T h e a d j u s t m e n t i s c o r r e c t w h e n
the upper edge of the head re-
straint is level with the top of the
head.
Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be in place and
correctly adjusted.

Folding the seat (Saloon)
To fold a rear seat without any risk of
damage to it, always start with the
seat cushion, never the seat back
:
move the corresponding front seat
forward if necessary,
raise the front of the seat cushion 1 ,
tilt the seat cushion 1 against the front seat,
check that the seat belt is positioned correctly on the side of the seat back,
Repositioning the seat (Saloon)
When repositioning the rear seat:
straighten the seat back 3 and
secure it,
fold back the seat cushion 1 .
pull control 2 upwards to release the seat back 3 ,
place the head restraints in the low position or remove them if necessary,
tilt the seat back 3 .
The seat cushion 1 can be removed
to increase the loading volume.

PEUGEOT recommends t h a t c h i l -

- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the
age of 2.

BELT
"Forwards-facing"
W h e n a " f o r w a r d s - f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t i s
installed on the front passenger seat ,
a d j u s t t h e v e h i c l e ' s s e a t t o t h e i n t e r m e -
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
airbag activated.
"Rearwards-facing"
W h e n a " r e a r w a r d s - f a c i n g " c h i l d s e a t i s
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
it is essential that the passenger airbag
is deactivated. Otherwise, the child
would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
Intermediate longitudinal position

current legislation in your country.
Although one of PEUGEOT's main
criteria when designing your vehicle,
the safety of your children also depends
on you.
For maximum safety, please follow
these precautions:
- i n a c c o r d a n c e w i t h E u r o p e a n r e g -
ulations, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one and a
half metres tall must travel in ap-
proved child seats suited to their
weight , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a s e a t
belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transportation
of children are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
a n d i n t h e r e a r .

In accordance with the European regulation, this table indicates the options for the installation of child seats secured using
the seat belt and universally approved (a) in relation to the weight of the child and the seat in the vehicle.
(a) Universal child seat: child seat which can be installed in all vehicles using the seat belt.
(b) Group 0: from birth to 10 kg. Infant car seats and "car cots" ca nnot be installed on the front passenger seat.
(c) Consult the legislation in force in your country before inst alling your child on this seat.
U : seat suitable for the installation of a child seat secu red using the seat belt and universally approved "rear facing" an d/or
"forward facing".
