BOOT
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the ve-
hicle using the remote control or the
key, pull the handle and raise the
boot lid.
Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
Press the boot unlocking
button on the remote control
for more than two seconds.
The boot opens slightly.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Contact a PEUGEOT
dealer. Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain secure,
e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
So, when the vehicle is locked and the
roof is open, the boot cannot be un-
locked:
- by means of the interior door open-
ing control, when the key is not in
the ignition switch,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
- when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction screen
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warn-
ing lamp comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen for a few
seconds.
Closing
Lower the boot lid using the interior
grab handle.
If the boot lid is not closed correctly: Automatic locking of the boot
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , w i t h
the vehicle locked, if you unlock the
boot by pressing the boot unlock-
ing button on the remote control,
it will lock automatically when you
close it again.
In this case, if you inadvertently
leave the key in the boot, press the
manual centralised control

CHANGING A WHEEL *
Procedure for changing a faulty wheel
for the spare wheel using the tools pro-
vided with the vehicle.
Access to the tools
T h e t o o l s a r e i n s t a l l e d i n a b o x a t t h e
bottom of the boot under the spare
wheel.
For access to them, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the spare wheel" on
the following page. List of tools
1. Wheelbrace.
For removal of the wheel trim and r e m o v a l o f t h e w h e e l fi x i n g b o l t s .
2. Jack with integral handle.
For raising the vehicle.
3. "Bolt cover" tool.
For removal of the bolt protectors ( c o v e r s ) o n a l l o y w h e e l s .
4. Socket for the security bolts
( l o c a t e d i n t h e g l o v e b o x ) .
For adaptation of the wheelbrace to the special "security" bolts.
5. Removable towing eye.
Refer to the paragraph "Towing the vehicle".
A l l o f t h e s e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c t o y o u r
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.
Other accessories
Wheel with trim
When removing the wheel ,
d e t a c h t h e t r i m fi r s t u s i n g t h e
wheelbrace 1 pulling at the valve
passage hole.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e w h e e l , re-
fi t t h e t r i m s t a r t i n g b y p l a c i n g i t s
notch facing the valve and press
around its edge with the palm of
your hand.

Access to the spare wheel
The "space-saver" spare wheel is in-
s t a l l e d i n t h e b o o t u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
place the vehicle in the "coupé"
c o n fi g u r a t i o n ,
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r .
Fixing the "space-saver" spare
wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
tact with the "space-saver" spare
wheel. The wheel is secured by the
conical contact of each bolt.
Taking out the wheel
Slacken and remove the retaining
strap.
Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the spare wheel back in its housing.
Put the retaining strap back in place
and tighten it.

After changing a wheel
U s i n g t h e " s p a c e - s a v e r " s p a r e w h e e l :

Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting a wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand.
Pre-tighten the security bolt us-
ing the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 4 (if your vehicle is
e q u i p p e d w i t h t h i s ) .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 4 (if your vehicle is equipped
w i t h t h i s ) .
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
R e fi t t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r s o n
each of the bolts.
S t o r e t h e t o o l s i n t h e b o x a t t h e b o t -
tom of the boot.
Store the punctured wheel in a cor-
ner of the boot.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
Procedure for having your vehicle towed
or for towing another vehicle using a re-
movable towing eye.
Access to the tools Towing your vehicle
On the front bumper, pull on the cov-
er to unclip it.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
On the rear bumper, unclip the cover
by pressing at the bottom.
Screw the towing eye in fully.
Install the towing bar.
Switch on the hazard warning lamps
on the towed vehicle.
Towing another vehicle
The towing eye is installed in a holder at
t h e b o t t o m o f t h e b o o t u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
F o r a c c e s s t o i t :
p l a c e t h e v e h i c l e i n " c o u p é " c o n fi g u -
ration,
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
remove the towing eye from the
holder. When towing with all four wheels
on the ground, always use a towing
bar.
When towing with only two wheels
on the ground, always use profes-
sional lifting equipment.
When towing with the engine off,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.
Place the gear lever in neutral
(position N on the automatic
g e a r b o x ) .
F a i l u r e t o o b s e r v e t h i s s p e c i fi c instruction may result in damage
to certain braking units and the
absence of braking assistance
when the engine is restarted.

BOOT LUGGAGE CARRIER
A boot luggage carrier, designed spe-
c i fi c a l l y f o r y o u r c o u p é - c a b r i o l e t , i s a v a i l -
able from your PEUGEOT dealer as an

Follow the manufacturer's recommen-
d a t i o n s f o r fi t t i n g a n d u s e . When loading the boot luggage car-
rier, take care not to cover the third
brake lamp and the number plate.
The retractable roof must not not
operated when the boot luggage
