Practical information




Battery
The presence of this label indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification, for which the involvement of a PEUGEOT dealer or qualified workshop is requiredwhen replacing or disconnecting thebattery.
Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery.

After refitting the battery, the Stop & Start system will only be active
after several hours depending on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours).
)Raise the locking tab fully.

)Position the open clip 1of the cable on the positive terminal (+) of the battery.
)Press ver tically on the clip 1
to position it correctly against the battery.)Lock the clip by spreading the positioning
lug and then lowering the tab 2.
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not positionedcorrectly; start the procedure again.

The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:) open the bonnet using the interior releaselever, then the exterior safety catch, )
secure the bonnet stay, )

Towing the vehicle


Access to the tools

The towing eye is installed in the boot under
the floor.
To gain access to it: )open the boot, )lift the floor and remove it,
)remove the towing eye from the holder.
General recommendations
Obser ve the legislation in force in your country. Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towed vehicle. The person at the wheel of the towed vehicle must have a valid driving licence.When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towingbar; rope and straps are prohibited. When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering.
In the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service: - vehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road, - 4 wheel drive vehicle, - when it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or release theparking brake, - towing with only two wheels on the ground, - where there is no approved towing bar available...

Checks

Low fuel level
When the fuel tank minimum level is reached this warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel. There remains approximately 5 litres
of fuel in the
tank. When the warning lamp flashes,
there is very little fuel left .
The key cannot be removed from the lock until the cap is refitted. Removing the filler cap may cause aninrush of air. This vacuum is per fectly normal and results from the sealing of
the system.




























Fuel tank
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres.

A self-adhesive label on the inner face of the
filler flap reminds you of the type of fuel to use
depending on your engine.
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to
be registered by the fuel gauge.
Filling

To fill the tank safely: )the engine must be switched off,)
open the fuel filler flap, )
inser t the key in the cap, then turn it to the
left,
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the system in STOP mode; you must switchoff the ignition with the key.
)
remove the cap and hook it onto the clip
located on the inside of the flap,
) fill the tank, but do not continue after the 3rd cut- off of the pump; this could cause malfunctions. You must re
fuel as soon as possible to avoid
running out of fuel.
