It enables the vehicle to maintain a
s t e a d y s p e e d p r o g r a m m e d b y t h e
driver.
In order for it to be memorised or ac-
t i v a t e d , t h e v e h i c l e s p e e d m u s t b e
g r e a t e r t h a n 2 5 m p h ( 4 0 k m / h ) w i t h
at least fourth gear engaged for vehi-
c l e s i t t e d w i t h a m a n u a l g e a r b o x .
O n v e h i c l e s i t t e d w i t h a n a u t o m a t i c
g e a r b o x , t h e l e v e r m u s t b e i n p o s i -
tion D , o r i n a t l e a s t s e c o n d g e a r i n
s e q u e n t i a l m o d e . When the cruise control function is
a c t i v a t e d , p r e s s i n g t h i s b u t t o n e n a -
b l e s y o u t o d i s p l a y t h e d i s t a n c e r e -
corders.

It enables the vehicle to maintain a

driver.

A f t e r a f e w s e c o n d s o r w h e n t h i s b u t -
t o n i s p r e s s e d a g a i n , t h e d i s p l a y r e -
turns to the cruise control function.

centre.

Switching the system off
T h i s s y s t e m c o n s i s t s o f f o u r p r o x i m i t y
s e n s o r s , l o c a t e d i n t h e r e a r b u m p e r .
T h i s d e t e c t s a n y o b s t a c l e ( p e r s o n ,
v e h i c l e , t r e e , g a t e , e t c . ) b e h i n d t h e
v e h i c l e . N e v e r t h e l e s s , i t c a n n o t d e -
t e c t o b s t a c l e s l o c a t e d j u s t b e l o w t h e
b u m p e r .
A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , a r o a d -
w o r k s c o n e o r a n y o t h e r s i m i l a r o b j e c t
may be detected at the beginning of
t h e m a n o e u v r e , b u t m a y n o l o n g e r
b e d e t e c t e d w h e n t h e v e h i c l e c o m e s
close to it.

Activation
The system is activated as soon as
reverse gear is engaged.
