Proximity information is given by an audible signal, consisting ofbleeps which become more rapidas the vehicle approaches theobstacle. When the distance between the rear of the vehicle and the obs-tacle is less than approximately25 centimetres, the signalbecomes continuous. ➜Change to neutral, the system becomes inac-tive.

The extension of the service intervals means that the engine oil must be checked regularly: topping up of the oil between two oil changes is normal. It is for this reason, and for your complete peace of mind, that your Peugeot dealer will carry out a levels check and top-up midway between routine services, at the time or distance intervals specified. This will be undertaken free of charge, provided that the maintenance of your vehicle has been carried out within the PEUGEOT network. At the same time, your PEUGEOT dealer will offer you a PEUGEOT safety check, for a nominal fee.
A PEUGEOT professional will carry out a quick check, and will top up the levels if necessary (oil up to 1 litre, coolant and screen wash).
The date of the intermediate visit is not shown by the service indicator. It is to be carried out between two services.
If the oil level is too low, there is a risk of significant damage to the engine: check the engine oil level at least every 1,500 miles (2 500km). The extended service intervals have been made possible by developments to our vehicles and to the lubricants:
THUS IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU ONLY USE ENGINE LUBRICANTS THAT ARE APPROVED AND RECOMMENDED
BY THE MANUFACTURER (see pages on "Lubricants").

Range The display shows the distance which can still be covered with thefuel remaining in the tank. Note :this figure may rise if there is
a change in driving style or road sur- face, accompanied by a significantdrop in current fuel consumption. If there are less than about 0.5 gal- lons (2 litres) of fuel in the tank, onlythree segments will be displayed. Current consumption This gives the fuel consumption recorded during the last two
seconds. This function is displayedonly when the vehicle is travelling atapproximately 15 mph (20 km/h). The display stops at 10 mpg (30 l/100km). Average consumption This is the ratio between the amount of fuel consumed and the distancetravelled since the computer was lastreset to zero. The display stops at 10 mpg (30 l/100km).

Distance travelled This shows the distance travelled since the computer was last reset tozero. After the trip computer has been reset to zero, the range databecomes meaningful only after thevehicle has been in use for a certainperiod. If horizontal segments are displayed instead of figures when driving,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Average speed This is obtained by dividing the dis- tance travelled by the period of timethe vehicle has been in use (with theignition on), since the computer waslast reset to zero.
