THE KEYS The keys allow you to switch on the ignition and to independentlyoperate the front doors, the fuelfiller cap, the glove box and thepassenger air bag disarmingswitch. Central locking
From the driver's door, the keys allow you to lock, deadlock orunlock the doors and the tailgateand to fold back the exterior mir-rors. If one of the doors or the boot is open, it is impossible to operatethe central locking; an audiblesignal indicates locking by remo-te control. The remote control performs the same functions at a distance. The remote control key Locking Press button
Ato lock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators forapproximately two seconds. Note: a long press on button A,
in addition to deadlocking, auto- matically closes the windows.
Vehicles fitted with deadlocking
Deadlocking renders theinternal and external doorlocking controls inoperative.
Press button Ato deadlock the
vehicle. This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators forapproximately two seconds. Note : a long press on button A
permits automatic closing of the windows, in addition to deadloc-king.
A second press on button Ain
the five seconds following dead- locking, changes deadlocking tonormal locking. This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators forapproximately two seconds.
Unlocking Press button Bto unlock the
vehicle. This is confirmed by rapid flashing of the direction indicators. Note : If the vehicle is locked
and unlocking is activated inad- vertently without the doors beingopened within 30 seconds,the vehicle will re-lock
automatically.
STARTING
STOP position:
the ignition is off.
1st notch, Accessories position:
the ignition is off but the acces-sories can be used. 2nd notch, Running position: the ignition is on. Starting position:
operates the starter.

From the driver's door, the keys allow you to lock, deadlock or unlock thedoors and tailgate, as well as fold backthe exterior mirrors. A second press on button Awithin
five seconds of deadlocking changes this to normal locking. This is confirmed by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds. Unlocking Press button
Bto unlock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by rapid flashing of the direction indicators. Note: if the vehicle is locked and
unlocking is activated inadvertently without the doors being openedwithin 30 seconds, the vehicle will
lock itself automatically.
Locating your vehicle
To locate your car, if you have locked it, in a car park: press button A. The courtesy
lights come on and the direction indicators flash for a fewseconds.

INTERIOR LAYOUT
1. Glove boxThis is fitted with a lock.
To open the glove box, lift the handle.The glove box lights when the lid is opened.It contains a ventilation nozzle that can be closed, distributing the same conditioned air as the vents of the passenger compartment, and three sockets for connecting video equipment. The layout allows storage of a water bottle, a pen, the vehicle handbook, a pair of spectacles, tokens etc.
2. Front ashtray Pull the lid to open the ashtray.
To empty it after opening, press the tab and extract the ashtray.

4. 12 volt accessories socket This is a lighter type socket, fitted with a cap. It is supplied with current from the accessories position (1st notch).

6. Storage/Can holder
7. Waste container To empty, open it fully (past the point of resistance) then pull on the receptacle to remove it.
To refit, lock it in place on the cover.

CHANGING A FUSE The fuse boxes are located under the fascia (driver's side) and in theengine compartment. The spare fuses and special pliers A
are fixed to the inside of the lid of the fascia fuse box. Removing and changing a fuse Before changing a fuse you must establish the cause of the fault and
have it corrected. The fuse numbersare indicated on the fuse box. Use the special pliers A.
Always change a faulty fuse for one of the same rating. Fascia fuses
Unscrew the bolt a quarter of a turn with a coin, then pull thehandle to open the cover andaccess the fuses.
