Passenger air bag disarming warninglight Illumination of this warning
light is accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display. If the passen-ger air bag is disarmed, the indicatorlight comes on when the ignition isswitched on and remains on. In all cases, if the warning light flash-
es, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Air bag warning light The warning light comes on for 6 seconds when theignition is switched on.
Illumination of this warning light, withthe engine running, is accompaniedby an audible signal and a messageon the multifunction display indicat-ing the cause of the front, side or curtain air bag fault.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
W ater in diesel filter warning light
(according to destination)
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.
There is a risk of damage to the injection system. Diesel pre-heating indicator lightIf the engine is warm enough, the light will not come on and you can start the engine without waiting.
If the light comes on, wait until it goes out before trying the starter. Engine diagnostics warning light* This comes on each time the ignition is switched on. If it is lit continuously with the engine runnning, this indicates a fault in
the emission control system.If it flashes with the engine running, this indicates a malfunction in the injection
or ignition system. There is a risk of damage to the catalytic converter (petrol
engine only). Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Battery charge warning light This comes on each time the ignition is switched on.If it comes on with the engine running it can indicate:
Ð faulty operation of the charging circuit,
Ð loose battery or starter terminals,
Ða cut or slack alternator belt,
Ð an alternator fault.

closed properly or that the boot isopen.
Electronic immobiliser warning light This indicates a malfunction
of the electronic immobiliser.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
Low fuel level warning light. When this warning light comes on, you
have enough fuel remaining to drive
at least 30 miles (50 km). The tankcapacity is approximately 70 litres(15.4 gallons). Coolant temperature indicator When the needle is in zone
A,the
temperature is correct.When the needle is in zone B, the
temperature is too high. The central
(STOP) warning light flashes. Y ou must stop immediately.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

Rules for transporting children in the front passenger seat** Children under the age of 10 must not travel in the forwards facingposition, unless the rear seats arealready occupied by other childrenor the rear seats cannot be used(absent or folded). In this case,adjust the front passenger seat tothe most rearward position and armthe passenger air bag. The rearwards facing position is per- mitted from birth to 40 lbs (18 kg). Inthis position, it is essential to disarmthe passenger air bag.
GENERAL POINTS RELATING TO CHILD SEATS Although one of PEUGEOT's main criteria when designing your vehicle, the safe- ty of your children also depends on you.
For maximum safety, please follow these precautions: - Since 1992, all children under the age of 10 must travel in approved child
seats* suited to their weight , on seats fitted with a seat belt.
In order to recognise a child seat which conforms to current legislation, check
that it bears an orange lable indicating the weight range for its use and
its approval number.
- A child weighing less than 20 lbs. (9 kg) must travel in the rearwards
facing position both in the front and in the rear.
- The safest seats in your vehicle for the transportation of children are therear seats.
- If a child travelling on a booster seat, check that the lap section of the seat belt
passes over the child's tighs correctly. The chest section of the seat belt mustbe positioned on the child's shoulder without touching the neck. PEUGEOTrecommends that you use a booster seat with a back, fitted with a seat beltguide.
- Remember to fasten the seat belt or the child seat harness keeping the slack
in relation to the child's body to a minimum , even for short journeys.
