Keyless Entry and Starting
This system allows you to unlock, lock
and start your vehicle while keeping
the key on your person and in the
defined zone around the vehicle.

This system measures the size of a space and
advises whether parking is possible.

Exterior
Stop & Start
This system puts the engine temporarily into
standby during stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic
jams, etc...). The engine restarts automatically as
soon as you want to move off. The Stop & Start
system reduces fuel consumption and exhaust
emissions, and offers the comfor t of complete
silence when stationary.

Unlocking
With the electronic key on your person and in the
defined zone around the vehicle, pass your hand
behind the door handle to unlock the vehicle,
then pull on the handle to open the door.
Locking
With the electronic key in the defined zone
around the vehicle, press with a finger on
the door handle (at the markings) to lock the
vehicle.

Indicator and warning
lamps
Visual indicators informing the driver that a
system is in operation, switched off or has a
fault.
When the ignition is switched on
Cer tain warning lamps come on for a few
seconds in the instrument panel and/or
instrument panel screen when the vehicle's
ignition is switched on.
When the engine is started, these same
warning lamps should switch off.
If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the
information on the warning lamp concerned.
Associated warnings
The switching on of cer tain warning lamps may
be accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the instrument panel screen.
The warning lamps may come on continuously
(fixed) or flash.
Cer tain warning lamps may come on in
one of two modes. Only by relating the
type of lighting to the operating status
of the vehicle can it be ascer tained
whether the situation is normal or
whether a fault has occurred.

thumb wheel to move through the menus, so
as to configure the vehicle settings (driving and
comfort systems, ...).
- Rotation (other than menu): scroll through
the list of active functions available,
- Press: main menu, confirm the selection,
- Rotation (in a menu): move up or down in

(ESP/ASR)
flashing. The ESP/ASR regulation is active. The system optimises traction and improves the
directional stability of the vehicle.
fixed. Unless it has been deactivated
(button pressed and its indicator lamp
on) the ESP/ASR system has a fault. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT or a qualified
workshop.
Engine
autodiagnosis
system
fixed. The emission control system has a
fault. The warning lamp should go off when the engine is star ted.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or
qualified workshop without delay.
flashing. The engine management system has
a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic conver ter.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Low fuel level
fixed with the needle
in the red zone. When it first comes on there remains
approximately 7 litres
of fuel in the
tank.
At this point, you begin to use the fuel
reser ve. Refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of
fuel.
This warning lamp will come on every time the ignition
is switched on, until a sufficient addition of fuel is
made.
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel, as
this could damage the emission control and injection
systems.
Anti-lock
Braking System
(ABS)
fixed. The anti-lock braking system has a
fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop without
delay.

Service overdue
For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the spanner flashes
to indicate that the service
must be carried out as soon as possible.
Example:
the ser vice is overdue by 186 miles
(300 km).
For 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the screen indicates:
The distance remaining may be
weighted by the time factor, depending
on the driving conditions.
Therefore, the spanner may also come
on if you have exceeded the two year
ser vice inter val.
Following this operation, if you wish to
disconnect the battery, lock the vehicle
and wait at least five minutes for the
zero reset to be taken into account. 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on,
the distance recorder resumes its normal
operation. The spanner remains on
.
Service indicator zero reset
After each ser vice, the ser vice indicator must
be reset to zero.
The procedure for resetting to zero is as
follows:
)
switch off the ignition,
)
press and hold the trip distance recorder
zero reset button,
)
switch on the ignition; the distance recorder
display begins a countdown,
)
when the display indicates "=0"
, release
the button; the spanner disappears.
Retrieving the service
information
You can access the ser vice information at any
time.
)
Press the trip distance recorder zero reset
button.
The ser vice information is displayed for a
few seconds, then disappears.

Access
System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the lock or from a distance. It is also used to locate and start the vehicle, as well
as providing protection against theft.

"Keyless Entry and
Starting" system
System that allows the opening, closing
and star ting of the vehicle while keeping the
electronic key on your person. It can also be
used as a remote control.
Unlocking the vehicle

Turn the key to the front of the vehicle to
unlock the vehicle.
Using the remote control

Press the open padlock to unlock
the vehicle.
Holding this button down opens the
windows automatically.
Using the electronic key

With the electronic key on your person and
in the defined zone, pass your hand behind
the door handle to unlock the vehicle, then
pull on the handle to open the door.
Your passengers can also open their doors,
as soon as the electronic key is in the
defined zone around the vehicle.
Unlocking is confirmed by rapid
flashing of the direction indicators for
approximately two seconds.
According to version, the door mirrors
unfold at the same time.
