Safety auto-reverse
W h e n t h e w i n d o w r i s e s a n d m e e t s a n
o b s t a c l e , i t s t o p s a n d p a r t i a l l y l o w e r s .
Automatic mode
Press or pull the control, beyond the
p o i n t o f r e s i s t a n c e . T h e w i n d o w o p e n s
or closes fully when the control is
r e l e a s e d . P r e s s i n g t h e c o n t r o l a g a i n
stops the movement of the window.
T h e e l e c t r i c a l f u n c t i o n s o f t h e e l e c t r i c
w i n d o w s a r e d e a c t i v a t e d :
- a p p r o x i m a t e l y 4 5 s e c o n d s a f t e r t h e
ignition is switched off,
- a f t e r o n e o f t h e f r o n t d o o r s i s opened, if the ignition is off.
Manual mode
Press or pull the control, without
p a s s i n g t h e p o i n t o f r e s i s t a n c e .

the control.
Reinitialisation
F o l l o w i n g r e c o n n e c t i o n o f t h e b a t t e r y ,

m u s t b e r e i n i t i a l i s e d . Good practice
I f t h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s m e e t a n
o b s t a c l e d u r i n g o p e r a t i o n , y o u m u s t
reverse the movement of the window.
To do this, press the control concerned.
W h e n t h e d r i v e r o p e r a t e s t h e
p a s s e n g e r e l e c t r i c w i n d o w c o n t r o l s ,
h e m u s t e n s u r e t h a t n o o n e i s
preventing correct closing of
the windows.
T h e d r i v e r m u s t e n s u r e t h a t t h e
p a s s e n g e r s u s e t h e e l e c t r i c w i n d o w s
correctly.
B e a w a r e o f c h i l d r e n w h e n o p e r a t i n g
the windows.

c l o s i n g / o p e n i n g o p e r a t i o n s o f t h e
e l e c t r i c w i n d o w c o n t r o l , a p r o t e c t i o n
system is triggered which only
a u t h o r i s e s c l o s i n g o f t h e w i n d o w . A f t e r
c l o s i n g , w a i t a p p r o x i m a t e l y 4 0 m i n u t e s .
O n c e t h i s t i m e h a s e l a p s e d , t h e c o n t r o l
b e c o m e s o p e r a t i o n a l a g a i n .
L o w e r t h e w i n d o w f u l l y , t h e n r a i s e i t ,
i t w i l l r i s e i n s t e p s o f a f e w c e n t i m e t r e s
e a c h t i m e t h e c o n t r o l i s p r e s s e d .
R e p e a t t h e o p e r a t i o n u n t i l t h e w i n d o w
is fully closed.
C o n t i n u e t o p r e s s t h e c o n t r o l f o r a t
l e a s t o n e s e c o n d a f t e r t h e w i n d o w
c l o s e d p o s i t i o n h a s b e e n r e a c h e d .

HORN
Press the centre of the steering wheel.
HANDBRAKE
Applying
Pull the handbrake to immobilise your
vehicle.
Check that the handbrake is applied
fi r m l y b e f o r e l e a v i n g t h e v e h i c l e . Releasing
Pull the handle and press the button to
lower the handbrake.
HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
Press this button, the direction
i n d i c a t o r s fl a s h .
They can operate with the ignition off.
The hazard warning lights should only
be used in dangerous situations, when
stopping in an emergency or when
driving in unusual conditions.
When parking on a slope, direct your
wheels towards the pavement and pull
the handbrake.
There is no advantage in engaging
a gear after parking the vehicle,
particularly if the vehicle is loaded.
If the handbrake is still on or has
not been released properly, this is
indicated by this warning light which
comes on on the instrument panel. Automatic lighting of hazard
warning lights
When braking in an emergency,
depending on the force of deceleration,
the hazard warning lights come
on automatically. They switch off
a u t o m a t i c a l l y t h e fi r s t t i m e y o u
accelerate.
It is also possible to switch them off by
pressing the button on the fascia.

Parking assistance

The audible and/or visual rear parking
assistance consists of four proximity
sensors, installed in the rear bumper.
the sensors detect any obstacle which
e n t e r s t h e fi e l d : p e r s o n , v e h i c l e , t r e e ,
fence, behind the vehicle during the
manoeuvre.
Certain objects detected at the
beginning of the manoeuvre will no
longer be detected at the end of the
manoeuvre due to the blind spots
between and below the sensors.
E x a m p l e s : s t a k e , r o a d w o r k s c o n e o r
pavement post. Engage reverse gear
REAR PARKING ASSISTANCE
Display on the screen
Stop the assistance
Change to neutral.
A n a u d i b l e s i g n a l c o n fi r m s t h e
activation of the system by engaging
reverse gear.
The proximity information is indicated
by an audible signal which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle approaches
the obstacle. When the distance
between the rear of the vehicle and
the obstacle is less than approximately
thirty centimetres, the audible signal
becomes continuous.

Parking assistance
Activation/Deactivation Operating fault
In the event of an operating fault, when
reverse gear is engaged the diode on
the button comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the display. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Good practice
In bad weather or in winter, ensure that
the sensors are not covered with mud,
ice or snow.
The system will be deactivated
automatically if a trailer is being towed
o r i f a b i c y c l e c a r r i e r i s fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e
fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r o r b i c y c l e c a r r i e r
recommended by PEUGEOT ).
The parking assistance cannot, in
any circumstances, take the place of
the vigilance and responsibility of the
driver.
You can activate or deactivate
the system by pressing this
button.
The activation or deactivation
of the system is stored when
the vehicle stops.
You are advised to deactivate
t h e s y s t e m i f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d
with a rear ladder or if you are
transporting a load which exceeds the
length of the vehicle.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
(ABS - EBFD)
T h e A B S a n d E B F D ( e l e c t r o n i c b r a k e
force distribution) systems improve the
stability and manoeuvrability of your
vehicle on braking, in particular on
poor or slippery surfaces.
The ABS prevents locking of the
wheels, the EBFD provides control of
the braking pressure wheel by wheel. If this warning light comes on,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on
the display, it indicates a
malfunction of the ABS which
could result in a loss of control of the
vehicle on braking.
If this warning light comes
on, together with the brake
and STOP warning lights,
accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the
display, it indicates a malfunction of
the electronic brake force distribution
which could result in a loss of control of
the vehicle on braking.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (EBA)
In an emergency, this system enables
the optimum braking pressure to be
reached more quickly, press the pedal
fi r m l y w i t h o u t r e l e a s i n g i t .
It is triggered by the speed at which the
brake pedal is activated.
This alters the resistance of the brake
pedal under your foot.
To prolong the operation of the
e m e r g e n c y b r a k i n g a s s i s t a n c e s y s t e m :
keep your foot on the brake pedal.
Good practice
The anti-lock braking system comes
into operation automatically when
there is a risk of wheel lock. It does not
reduce the braking distance.
O n v e r y s l i p p e r y s u r f a c e s ( i c e , o i l ,
etc...) the ABS may increase the
braking distance. When braking in
an emergency, do not hesitate to
p r e s s t h e b r a k e p e d a l fi r m l y , w i t h o u t
releasing the pressure, even on a
slippery surface, you will then be able
to continue to manoeuvre the vehicle
to avoid an obstacle.
Normal operation of the ABS may be
felt by slight vibration of the brake
pedal.
W h e n c h a n g i n g w h e e l s ( t y r e s
and rims), ensure that these are
recommended by PEUGEOT.
Stop immediately.

dealer.
