Carry out (1), then wait until the engine has cooled
down before topping up the coolant, if necessary. If
the problem persists, carry out (2).

a fault (dirty or loose terminals,
slack or cut alternator belt, etc.). Clean and retighten the terminals. If the warning lamp
does not go off when the engine is started, carry out
(2).
Power steering Fixed. The power steering has a fault. Drive carefully at moderate speed, then carry out (3).

Rear view mirror
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, which
darkens the mirror glass and reduces the
nuisance to the driver caused by the sun,
headlights of other vehicles, etc.

Adjustment
F A djust the mirror so that the mirror is
directed correctly in the "day" position. Day/night position
Automatic "electrochrome"
model
This system automatically and progressively
changes between day and night use by means
of a sensor measuring the light coming from the
rear of the vehicle.
In order to ensure optimum visibility during
your manoeuvres, the mirror lightens
automatically when reverse gear is
engaged.

General recommendations
for the seats
For safety reasons, seat adjustments
must only be made when the vehicle is
stationary.
Folding or unfolding the seat backrests must
only be done with the vehicle stationary.
Before moving the seat backwards,
ensure that there is no object or person in
the way, preventing full travel of the seat.
There is a risk of trapping or pinching
passengers if they are in the rear seats
or jamming the seat if large objects are
placed on the floor behind the seat.
Do not place hard or heavy objects on
the backrests forming a table. They could
become dangerous projectiles in the event
of sudden braking or a collision.

stowing it; secure it to a support inside
the vehicle.

Never use the table while the vehicle is
moving.
Any object on the table will become a
dangerous projectile that could cause
injury in the event of sudden braking or
collision.
Your vehicle may also be fitted with a pivoting
table.

o straighten the backrest, stow the table
then guide it until it locks.
During operations, take care not to jam the
tongue under the seat cushion.
Each time you lock the seat in the sitting
position, make sure that passengers have
access to the seat belt end pieces and the
associated straps.
Side seat
Retractable position
This position allows transporting long cargo
inside the vehicle with the doors closed.
When retracted, the maximum weight on the
backrest is 50
kg.
To replace the seat, lift the backrest until the
seat locks into position on the floor.
Storage compartment under seat
F Lift the central seat to access the storage compartment. This space can be secured
by fitting a padlock (not supplied). F
P ull the tongue on the top edge of the seat
near the head restraint to tilt and guide the
assembly.
It is placed in the floor of the front seat and thus
forms a continuous flat floor with the loading
space.

Never put your hand underneath the seat
cushion to guide the seat downwards or
upwards, you could get your fingers trapped.
Always just use the strap.
Before carrying out these manoeuvres, check
that nothing and nobody is obstructing the
moving elements and their locking.
Folded position
This position allows the transport of high loads
inside the cab.
To replace the seat, push on the yellow crank
under the seat and lower the assembly until the
seat locks into position on the floor.F

ift the yellow crank at the base of the seat
to unlock and lift the assembly into folded
position (seat raised against the backrest)
until it locks.
Never put your hand underneath the seat

cushion.
Before carrying out these manipulations,

Rear bench seat

Folding the backrests

(clothing, luggage, etc.),

on the backrests. The folding of the backrest is
accompanied by a slight lowering of the
corresponding seat cushion.
When the backrest is released, the red
indicator is visible in the release grips on
the outer seats.

Repositioning the backrests
First check that the outer seat belts are
lying vertically flat alongside the backrest
latching rings.

push it firmly to latch it home.

nsure that the outer seat belts are not
trapped during the manoeuvre.
Adjusting the height of the
head restraint
The head restraint has a frame with
notches which prevents it from lowering;
this is a safety device in case of impact.
The adjustment is correct when the
upper edge of the head restraint is
level with the top of the head.
Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be fitted and correctly
adjusted.
Never drive with passengers seated at
the rear when the head restraints are
removed or not in the high position; the
head restraints must be in place and in the
high position.

Post Collision Safety Brake
(APCB)
With automatic post-collision braking, in the
event of an accident, the ESC system triggers
an automatic braking action in order to reduce
the risk of cumulative collisions by rebound, for
example, if the driver does not react.
Automatic braking inter venes after a frontal,
lateral or rear impact.
Conditions for operation
The impact has resulted in the deployment
of the airbags or seat belt pyrotechnic
pretensioners.
The braking systems and electric functions of
the vehicle must remain operational after the
collision.Automatic braking is accompanied by
illumination of the vehicle's brake lamps.
The system does not inter vene if driver
action is detected:
-
A

ccelerator pedal pressed.
-
B

rake pedal pressed.
The system works within the limits of the
laws of physics.
It is the driver's responsibility to
continuously adapt the vehicle's speed to
the driving and road conditions.
Malfunctions
Braking systems fault
Airbags or pyrotechnic
pretensioning systems fault
Drive carefully.
Go to a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop as soon as possible.
Trailer stability assist (TSA)
When towing, this system reduces the risk of
the vehicle or trailer swaying.
Operation
If the system detects oscillations (snaking) in the
movement of the trailer at speeds between 35 and
100 mph (60 and 160 km/h), it acts on the brakes to
stabilise the trailer and, if necessary, reduces the
engine power to slow down the vehicle.
The correction is signalled by the
flashing of this indicator lamp in the
instrument panel and illumination of
the brake lamps.
Malfunction
Should a fault occur with the system,
this warning lamp comes on in the
instrument panel, accompanied by
the display of a message and an
audible signal.

The system is activated automatically when the
ignition is switched on.
The electronic stability control (ESC) must not have
any faults.
For information on the weights and towed
loads, refer to the "Technical data" section or
the registration certificate for your vehicle.
To ensure complete safety while driving with
a Towbar system , refer to the corresponding
section.
If you continue to tow a trailer, reduce your
speed and drive carefully!
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the system checked.

lamp appears in green in the
instrument panel.

hen the vehicle begins its descent, you
can release the accelerator and brake
pedals; the system regulates the speed:
The system becomes active at a speed below

mph (30 km/h).

f the gearbox is in first or second
gear, the speed decreases and
the warning lamp flashes rapidly,

f the gearbox is in neutral or if
the clutch pedal is depressed,
the speed decreases and the
warning lamp flashes slowly;
in this case, the maintained
descent speed is lower. During a descent, with the vehicle stationary, if
you release the accelerator and brake pedals,
the system will release the brakes to set the
vehicle gradually in motion.
The brake lamps light up automatically when
the system is regulating.
If the speed exceeds 18
mph (30 km/h),
regulation is paused automatically, the warning
lamp goes back to grey in the instrument panel,
but the indicator lamp in the button remains lit.
Regulation resumes automatically when the
speed falls below 18
mph (30 km/h) again, and
the slope and pedal release conditions are met.
You can depress the accelerator or brake pedal
again at any time.
Switching off
F Press this button until its indicator lamp goes off; the indicator lamp also goes off in
the instrument panel.
Above 43
mph (70 km/h), the system is
automatically deactivated; the indicator lamp in
the button goes off.
Malfunction
If a fault occurs with the system,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by the display of a
message in the instrument panel.
Seat belts
Front seat belts
The front seat belts are fitted with a pyrotechnic
pretensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of a front or side impact.
Depending on the severity of the impact, the
pretensioning system instantly tightens the seat
belts against the body of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active when
the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure of the
seat belt on the chest of the occupant, thus
improving their protection. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
