Child safety
ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
The incorrect installation of a child seat
in a vehicle compromises the child's
protection in the event of an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harnesses keeping the
slack in relation to the child's body
to a minimum , even for short
journeys.
For optimum installation of the "forward
facing" child seat, ensure that the back
of the child seat is in contact with the
back of the vehicle's seat and that the
head restraint does not cause any
discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached
securely to prevent it from being
thrown around the vehicle in the event
of sharp braking.
Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied by
other children, cannot be used or are
absent.
Disarm the passenger air bag when a
"rear facing" child seat is installed on
the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the air bag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
A s a s a f e t y p r e c a u t i o n , d o n o t l e a v e :
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat belt
passes correctly over the child's thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of a
b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t t e d
with a seat belt guide at shoulder level.
CHILD LOCK
This prevents opening of the side
doors from the inside. Manual mode
A label indicates the location of the
child lock.
- Open fully past the point of
resistance.
- Tilt the lever, located on the rear section of the door.
Electric mode With the ignition on, press this
button. The diode comes on.
W a r n i n g : t h i s s y s t e m i s
independent of the central
locking control.
Always remove the ignition key when
leaving the vehicle, even for a short
time.
It is advisable to check the activation of
the child lock each time the ignition is
switched on.
In the event of a serious impact the
electric child lock is deactivated
automatically.
To prevent accidental opening of the
doors, use the "Child Lock".
Take care not to open the rear windows
by more than one third.
To protect young children from the rays

Opening the bonnet
OPENING THE BONNET
Bonnet strut
Secure the strut in its location,
i d e n t i fi e d b y a s t i c k e r o n t h e l e f t - h a n d
panel side of the vehicle, to hold the
bonnet open.
Before closing the bonnet, put the strut
b a c k i n i t s c l i p w i t h o u t u s i n g e x c e s s i v e
force.
On the outside
Raise the bonnet slightly by reaching
i n a fl a t h a n d , p a l m d o w n , t o m a k e
access to the lever easier.
With this hand, push the lever to the
left. Raise the bonnet.
On the inside
Pull the lever under the fascia panel
t o w a r d s y o u . T h e b o n n e t i s u n l o c k e d .
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the
e n d o f i t s t r a v e l . C h e c k t h a t t h e b o n n e t
i s l o c k e d .
Avoid manoeuvring the bonnet in
strong winds.

4. OPERATING PROCEDURE - P l a c e t h e j a c k i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e l o c a t i n g p o i n t p r o v i d e d , t h e o n e
which is closest to the wheel to be
c h a n g e d . E n s u r e t h a t t h e j a c k i s
straight and that the base of the jack
is fully in contact with the ground.
- E x t e n d t h e j a c k t o l i f t t h e w h e e l clear of the ground.
- R e s u m e a n d c o m p l e t e t h e unscrewing of the wheel bolts.
- Remove the bolts and remove the wheel.
D o n o t e x t e n d t h e j a c k u n t i l y o u h a v e
started unscrewing the bolts on the
w h e e l t o b e c h a n g e d a n d h a v e p l a c e d
the chock under the wheel diagonally
o p p o s i t e .
- R e m o v e t h e t r i m p u l l i n g i t u s i n g t h e
embellisher remover.
- Loosen the wheel bolts and start unscrewing them. Security bolts
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels:
- E a c h w h e e l h a s a s e c u r i t y b o l t .
- T h e s e b o l t s c a n b e l o o s e n e d u s i n g
your security socket (given to you
on handover of your vehicle) and
the wheelbrace.

jack.
- T i g h t e n t h e b o l t s a g a i n u s i n g t h e wheelbrace, tighten them fully
without forcing them.
- P l a c e t h e w h e e l t o b e r e p a i r e d i n the carrier. - Secure the carrier on the hook then
raise the carrier using the bolt and
the wheelbrace.
Never go underneath a vehicle
t h a t i s s u p p o r t e d o n l y b y a
j a c k ( u s e a r a m p ) . N e v e r u s e a
s c r e w d r i v e r i n p l a c e o f t h e w h e e l b r a c e .
5. FITTING THE SPARE WHEEL
- P o s i t i o n t h e w h e e l o n t h e h u b a n d
start tightening the bolts by hand.
- Carry out an initial tightening of the bolts using the wheelbrace.

o r d e r t o r e fi t e a c h b u l b a n d c h e c k t h a t
the bonnet is closed securely.
Type C
Halogen bulb: release the
r e t a i n i n g s p r i n g f r o m i t s
housing.
Type B
B a y o n e t b u l b : p r e s s
on the bulb then turn it
anticlockwise.
Halogen bulbs must be changed
w i t h t h e h e a d l a m p o f f . W a i t a f e w
minutes (risk of serious burns).
Do not touch the bulb directly with your
fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e c l o t h s .
It is normal for condensation to form
i n s i d e t h e h e a d l a m p s . R e g u l a r u s e o f
the vehicle eliminates this misting. T h e b u l b s m u s t b e c h a n g e d w i t h
the ignition off or with the battery
d i s c o n n e c t e d . W a i t a p p r o x i m a t e l y
3 minutes after changing the bulb
before reconnecting the battery.
C h e c k t h a t t h e l i g h t s o p e r a t e c o r r e c t l y
a f t e r e a c h o p e r a t i o n .
W h e n u s i n g t h i s t y p e o f w a s h i n g
o n s t u b b o r n d i r t , d o n o t p e r s i s t
o n t h e h e a d l a m p s , t h e l i g h t s a n d
their surround to avoid damaging their
coating and their seal.

- M o v e t h e m u d g u a r d u p w a r d s .
- U n c l i p t h e f o g l a m p b y s q u e e z i n g t h e c l i p to release it.
- R e m o v e t h e f o g l a m p f r o m t h e o u t s i d e .
- T u r n t h e y e l l o w c o v e r a 1 / 4 t u r n t o o p e n .
- S e p a r a t e t h e c l i p s w h i c h s e c u r e t h e b a s e of bulb on each side to release the bulb.
- R e m o v e t h e b u l b b y p u l l i n g , k e e p i n g i t straight.
- I n s e r t t h e n e w b u l b , r e - t i g h t e n t h e c l i p s around the base of the bulb and carry out
t h e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e v e r s e o r d e r t o p u t t h e
l i g h t u n i t a n d t h e b u m p e r b a c k i n p o s i t i o n .
