theirmarking.
Thepreceptionthattiredurabilityandperfor-
manceareimmunetotheeffectsofstorageand
ageisunfounded.
Chemicaladditives,whichmaketherubberelastic,
losetheireffectivenessinthecourseoftimeand
therubberbecomesbrittleandcracks.
Therefore,thetires,especiallythespare
tire,shouldbeinspectedfromtimetotime.
