1.Mountthecollapsiblesparewheelonthe
vehiclebeforeinflatingit.
2.Screwfillerhoseofthecompressorontothe
tirevalve.
3.Insertplugofthecompressorintotheciga-
rettelighter.
Therequiredfillingpressurewillbereached
afterafewminutes.
4.Checkfillingpressurewiththepressuretes-
ter.
Requiredfillingpressure:
36psi(2.5bar).
Ifthepressureistoohigh,releasesomeair
bypressingthevalveinsert.
Afterusingthecollapsiblesparewheel
I>Releaseairbyunscrewingthevalveinsert.
Thetirewillreverttoitsoriginalshapeonly
afterseveralhours.Onlythencanitbe
stowedinthesparewheelrecessinthe
luggagecompartment.

Whenthebatteryisdisconnected,thealarmsys-
temceasestofunction.
Overloadprotection
Ifthecentrallockingsystemisoperatedmore
thantentimeswithinaminute,furtheroperation
isblockedfor30seconds.
Loadswitch-offaftertwohours
orfivedays
Iftheignitionkeyisremoved,loadswhichare
switchedonorinstandby(e.g.powerwindows,
luggagecompartmentlighting,interiorlight,
radio)areautomaticallyswitchedoffafterap-
proximately2hours.
Ifthevehicleisnotstartedorunlockedwiththe
remotecontrolwithinfive
days,
theremote
controlstandbyfunctionisswitchedoff(topre-
ventdischargingofthevehiclebattery).
1.Inthiscase,unlockthedriver'sdoorwiththe
keyatthedoorlock.
Leavethedoorclosedinordertopreventthe
alarmsystemfrombeingtriggered.
2.Pressbutton1ontheremotecontrol.
Theremotecontrolisnowactivatedagain.

sumersintheelectricalsystemduetoshortcir-
cuitsandoverloads,theindividualcircuitsare
protectedbyfuses.
Thefuseboxisatlowerleftinthedriver'sfoot-
wellandisprotectedwithaplasticcover.

1.Beforereplacingafuse,switchoffallelectri-
calconsumersandremovetheignitionkey.
2.Toopen,pullthecoveroffatthefingerhole
(arrow).
Thefuseplanandinstructionsforemer-
gencyunlockingoftheluggagecom-
partmentlidscanbefoundontheinsideof
thecover.
3.Tocheckorreplaceafuse,removeitfrom
thespringclipusingtheplasticgripperA.
Ablownfuseindicatesanoverloadinthecir-
cuitandcanbeidentifiedbythemeltedmetal
strip.
4.Replaceonlywithfusesofthesamerating.
SparefusesBareinthelowestsectionof
thefusebox.

7.Unlocktheenginecompartmentlidorlug-
gagecompartment
lidwiththeswitch.
8.Disconnectthenegativecablefirst,thenthe
positivecable.
9.PushpositiveterminalAintothefusebox
andpushontheplasticfuseboxcover.

Chargestate
Awellchargedbatterywillnotonlypreventstart-
ingproblemsbutwillalsolastlonger.

distancesonly.

residues)bepermittedtoenterthebattery.

Unscrewandopenthefillerventcapsofeach
cell.
Withthecarhorizontal,thefluidlevelshould
meettheindicatormarkineachcell.

Ifnecessary,topupwithdistilledwater.
Donotuse
acid.
Onlyfilluptothemark,otherwisetheelectro-
lytewilloverflowwhenthebatteryisbeing
chargedandcausedamage.
Batterycharging
Automotivebatteriesloosetheirefficiencywhen
notinuse.
Thechargeavailableinyourbatterycanbe
measuredwithabatteryhydrometer.
Werecommendthatthebatteryvoltagebe
testedbyyourPorschedealerwhohastheap-
propriateequipment.
Ifthecarisnotdrivenforprolongedperiods,
thebatterymustbechargedatleastevery6
weeks.
Adischargedbatteryallowsrapidformationof
sulfates,leadingtoprematuredeteriorationof
theplates.

trolorwhenthelight-emittingdiode2inthe
keygripnolongerflasheswhentheremotecon-
trolisoperated.
1.Usingyourfingernailorasmallscrewdriver,
carefullyliftoffthecoverofthekeygrip.
2.Replacebattery(observepolarity).
Asparebattery(LithiumCR2032,3volts)is
availableatyourauthorizedPorschedealer.
3.Replacecoverandpresstogetherfirmly.

Ifthebatteryisdischarged,e.g.inwinteror
afterthecarhasbeenparkedforalongtime,
thebatteryofanothercarcanbeusedforstart-
ingwiththehelpofjumpercables.
Makesurethevoltageofbothbatteriesisthe
same.
Thecapacity(Amperehours,Ah)ofthebooster
batterymustnotbesubstantiallylessthanthat
ofthedischargedbattery.
Thedischargedbatterymustbecorrectlycon-
nectedtothevehicle'selectricalsystem.
