Thispositionallowstheignitionkeytobe
removedonlyafterthegearshiftselectorlever
buttonisdepressedandmovedtoposition"P".
Thisensuresthatthedriverengagestheparking
lockbeforeleavingthevehicleandturnsthe
ignitionkeytoposition"0",thentheignitionkey
canberemovedfromtheignitionswitch.

Theacceleratorposition,drivingspeed,engine
speed,longitudinalandlateralaccelerationand
theroadprofileallhaveaninfluenceonthe
gear-changingcharacteristic.
Unwantedupwardshifts,e.g.beforebends,are
preventedbyswiftlyreleasingtheaccelerator
pedal.
Dependingonlateralacceleration,upwardshifts
onbendsarenotmadeuntiltheengine-speed
limitisreached.
Underbraking,anddependingontheamountof
deceleration,theTiptronicshiftsdownearlier.
Forsubsequentcornering,therightgearisen-
gagedwhenpressureisappliedtothebrakes
beforethebend.
Thebendistakenintherightgear,andwhen
youaccelerateoutofthebendyoudonothave
toshiftdown.
Drivingoff
In2ndgear,thevehicledrivesoffwiththe
throttleonlyslightlyopen.
Driveoffin1stgearwiththethrottleopen
widerorwhentheengineiscold.

Kickdown
The
kickdownfunctionisactiveinselectorlever
positionD,evenifyoutemporarilychangeto
manualmodeMusingthetoggleswitcheson
thesteeringwheel.

ing,depresstheacceleratorpedalbeyondthe
full-throttlepoint(kickdown).
Thetransmissionshiftsdowndependingonthe
speedoftravelandenginespeed.
Upwardshiftsoccuratthehighestpossible
enginespeeds.
Thesegear-changingspeedsremainactiveuntil
theacceleratorisreleasedtoapprox.80%of
thewideopenthrottleposition.

M-ManualSelectionMode

Thecurrentlyselectedgearisretainedifyou
changefromDtoM.
IfyoushiftfromMtoD,thegear-changingmap
suitableforyourcurrentdrivingstyleisselected
andtheappropriategearisselected.

Slipmonitoringisalsodeactivatedwhen
PorscheStabilityManagement(PSM)isswitched
off.

Thesidewindowsareloweredautomatically

Iftheconvertibletopisclosedwiththekeyin
thedoorlock,thewindowsmustbeclosed

Withtherockerswitch:
-Theignitionmustbeswitchedon
(enginerunningoroff),
-theenginecompartmentlidmustbeclosed,

Ifthismaximumspeedisexceeded,theopen-
ing/closingprocedureoftheconvertibletop
