–Whenyougetoutofthecar,thelightsareturnedonforapprox.30secondsafterthedoorisopened.Theoff-delaytimeresumeswhenthevehicleislocked.OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPackagePlus,thePCMcanbeusedtosettheoff-delaytime.Thissettingalsochangesthelightingperiodforunlockingthevehicle.Pleaseobservethechapter“IndividualMemory”intheseparatePCMoperatinginstructions.

Thebatterywilldischargemorequicklyifyourvehicleisnotdrivenonadailybasisoveradistanceofseveralmiles.Themoreoftenyoudriveyourvehicle,andthelongerthedistancedrivenoneachtrip,themoreopportunitythevehicle’schargingsystemwillhavetorechargethebatteries.
Replacingbattery
Theservicelifeofthebatteryissubjecttonormalwear;itdependsgreatlyoncare,climaticcondi-tions,anddrivingconditions(distances,loads).
OnlyuseanoriginalPorschebattery,withthecorrectpartnumber,asareplacement.
Pleaseobservethedisposalinstructionsforbatteries.
Puttingvehicleintooperation
Afterthebatteryisconnectedorafterancom-pletelydischargedbatteryischarged,themul-tifunctionalPSMlightlightsupontheinstrumentpanelandamessageappearsontheon-boardcomputertoindicateafault.
Thisfaultcanberemediedwithafewsimplesteps:
1.Starttheengine.
2.Withthevehiclestationary,performafewsteeringmovementstotheleftandrightandthendriveashortdistanceinastraightlineuntilthemultifunctinalPSMlightgoesoutandthemessageontheon-boardcomputerdisappears.
3.Ifthewarningsdonotdisappear,then:DrivecarefullytothenearestauthorizedPorschedealer.Havethefaultremedied.
4.Afterthewarningsdisappear:Stopthevehicleinasuitableplace.
5.Performadaptationofthepowerwindows:
