Asportiercarset-upisobtainedwhenSportmodeisswitchedon.InterventionsbythePorschecontrolsystemsareintentionallyshiftedtowardsgreateragilityanddrivingperformance.
–PASM(PorscheActiveSuspensionManagement)isautomaticallychangedtoSportmode,resultinginastiffersuspensionsetup.
–TheTiptronicSswitchestoasportygear-changingmapandshortensthegearshiftingperiods.Gearchangestakeplacefaster.
–PSM(PorscheStabilityManagement)controlissporty.PSMinterventionstakeplacelaterthaninNormalmode.Thedrivercanmaneuverthevehiclewithgreateragilityatitsperformancelimits,withouthavingtodispensewiththeassistanceofPSMinemergencysituations.Thishelpstoachieveoptimallaptimes,particularlyonracecircuitswithadryroadsurface.
–Theelectronicacceleratorpedalreactssooner,andtheengineismoreresponsivetothrottleinputs.WhenSportmodeisswitchedon,thisfunctionisactivatedonlyafterthedriverhasbrieflyreleasedtheacceleratorpedal.
–Therpmlimitercharacteristicis“harder”,i.e.theengineisimmediatelythrottledwhenthe
performancelimitsarereached(onlyinmanualselectionmodeforvehicleswithTiptronicS).
PleaseobservetheappropriatechaptersPSM,PASMandTiptronicS.
SwitchingSportmodeonandoff
PressSPORTbuttoninthecenterconsole.WhenSportmodeisswitchedon,thelight-emittingdiodeintheSPORTbuttonislit.
WhenSportmodeisswitchedon,thelogoSPORTappearsnexttothedigitalspeedometer.
SwitchingSportmodeonandoffsimultaneouslyactivatesanddeactivatestheSportmodeofthePASM.IftheSportmodeofthePASMwasactivatedwiththePASMbutton,itwillremainon.
Aftertheignitionisswitchedoff,SportmodeisautomaticallyresettoNormalmode.

PASMmakestworunning-gearsetupsavailabletothedriver:“Normal”and“Sport”.Theselectionismadeviaabuttononthecenterconsole.
InNormalmodetherunninggearisinasportyandcomfortablesetup.Sportmodeoffersamarkedlysportyshockabsorbertuning(e.g.fordrivingontheracecircuit).
Thevariablesuspensionsystemselectstheappro-priatedampinglevelforeachwheelaccordingtothesituationandconditionsofdriving.
Example:IfthevehicleisdriveninamarkedlysportymannerinNormalmode,PASMautomat-icallyadaptstheshock-absorberbehaviortothedrivingsituationinthiscaseaswell.

measurestheseconds.Thetwosmallpointersmeasurehoursandminutes.Thedisplayre-startsatzeroafter12hours.Secondsandincrementsof1/100thofasecondcanbereadonthedigitaldisplay.Thedigitaldisplayandthedisplayintheon-boardcomputercanindicateupto99hoursand59minutes.
