Donotlettheenginelabor,especiallywhendrivinguphill.Shifttothenextlowergearintime(usethemostfavorablerpmrange).

Breakinbrakepadsandbrakediscs
Newbrakepadsanddiscshavetobe“brokenin”,andthereforeonlyattainoptimalfrictionwhenthecarhascoveredseveralhundredmilesorkm.Theslightlyreducedbrakingabilitymustbecompensatedforbypressingthebrakepedalharder.Thisalsoapplieswheneverthebrakepadsandbrakediscsarereplaced.
Newtires
Newtiresdonothavemaximumtraction.Theytendtobeslippery.
Breakinnewtiresbydrivingatmoderatespeedsduringthefirst60to120miles/100to200km.Longerbrakingdistancesmustbeanticipated.
Engineoilandfuelconsumption

Asanaddedsafetyfeature,yourvehiclehasbeenequippedwithaTirePressureMonitoring(TPC)thatilluminatesalowtirepressuremessagewhenoneormoreofyourtiresissignificantlyunder-inflated.Accordingly,whenthelowtirepressuremessageilluminates,youshouldstopandcheckyourtiresassoonaspossible,andinflatethemtotheproperpressure.Drivingonasignificantlyunder-inflatedtirecausesthetiretooverheatandcanleadtotirefailure.Under-inflationalsoreducesfuelefficiencyandtiretreadlife,andmayaffectthevehicle’shandlingandstoppingability.
