Checkallexteriorandinteriorlightsforoperationandthatthelensesareclean.

Besureallluggageisstowedsecurely.

Immobilizer
Thereisatransponder(anelectroniccomponent)inthekeygrip,containingastoredcode.Whentheignitionisswitchedon,theignitionlockchecksthecode.Theimmobilizercanbeswitchedoffandthe
enginestartedonlyusinganauthorizedignitionkey.
Switchingofftheimmobilizer
Inserttheignitionkeyintotheignitionlock.
Iftheignitionisleftonformorethan2minuteswithouttheenginebeingstarted,theimmobilizerisswitchedonagain.
Ifthishappens,turntheignitionkeytotheleftbeforestartingtheengine.Theimmobilizerisswitchedoffagain,andtheenginecanbestarted.

Wheelalignment,wheelbalancing
Asaprecaution,havewheelswithsummertiresbalancedinthespring,andthosewithmudandsnowtiresbeforewinter.Unbalancedwheelsmayaffectcarhandlingandtirelife.Onlythespecifiedweightsmaybeusedforwheelbalancing.Self-adhesiveweightsmustnotcomeintocontactwithcleaningagents,sincetheycoulddropoff.Uneventreadwearindicateswheelimbalance.Inthisevent,thevehicleshouldbecheckedatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

If,duringatrip,unevenrunningorvibrationsoccurthatcouldbecausedbydamagetotiresorthecar,thespeedmustbereducedimmediately,butwithoutbrakingsharply.Ifyoucontinueyourtripwithouthavingthecauseofthefaultremedied,youmightlosecontrolofyourvehiclewhichcouldcauseseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.

Removingandstoringtires
Afterchanging,adjusttirepressureandtorquewheelboltsdiagonallyto94ft.lb.(130Nm).
Tiresmustalwaysremainonthesamesideofthevehicle.Whenwheelsareremoved,thedirectionofrotationandpositionofeachwheelshouldbemarked.

Wheelsmustalwaysbefittedinaccordancewiththeirmarking.
Theperceptionthattiredurabilityandperformanceareimmunetotheeffectsofstorageandageisunfounded.Chemicaladditives,whichmaketherubberelastic,losetheireffectivenessinthecourseoftimeandtherubberbecomesbrittleandcracks.
Therefore,thetiresshouldbeinspectedfromtimetotime.

ApplyathincoatofOptimolyTA(aluminumpaste)onthethreadandbetweentheboltheadandmovablesphericalcapring(arrows).Thebearingsurfaceofthesphericalcapfacingthewheelmustnotbegreased.
Replacedamagedwheelbolts.OnlyusetheOriginalPorschewheelboltsspeciallydesignedforthisvehicletype.
Tighteningtorque
Tighteningtorqueofwheelboltsandwheelnuts:130Nm/96ftlb.
WheelSecuringBolts
Ifthewheelshavetoberemovedattheworkshop,pleasedonotforgettohandoverthewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsalongwiththecarkey.
Thewrenchsocketforthewheelsecuringboltsisinthetoolbox.
Toloosenortightenthewheelboltwithanti-theftprotection,awrenchsocketwiththeappropriatecodingmustbeusedbetweenthewheelboltandthewheel-boltspanner.
Whenpositioningthewrenchsocket,ensurethatitengagesfullyintheteethofthewheelbolt.
Noteonoperation
Onvehicleswith17mmspacersontherearaxle,thewheelsaresecuredwithwheelnuts.
Onrequest,separateanti-theftprotectionforthewheelnutscanbemounted.PleaseconsultanauthorizedPorschedealer.

1.Fullyapplythehandbrake,engage1stgearorselectpositionPandwithdrawtheignitionkey.
ScrewinassemblyaidforvehicleswithoutPorscheCeramicCompositeBrake
2.Securethecaragainstrollingaway,e.g.bymeansofwedgesunderthewheelsontheoppositeside.Thisisparticularlyimportantonslopes.
3.Slightlyslackenthewheelboltsofthewheeltobechanged.
4.Raisethecaruntilthewheelliftsofftheground.
