Thedriver’sseatmustbeloadedbyapersonora165lbs.(75kg)weightandthetirepressuresmustmeettheprescribedvalues.Afterbeingloaded,
thecarmustberolledafewmeterssothatthesuspensioncansettle.
Forcheckingtheheadlightadjustment,theverticalpositionofthecutoffofthelowbeam(seefig.)hastobeprojectedonaverticalscreen(wall)indistanceof24.6ft.(7.5m)fromthefrontlensoftheheadlamp.Thecorrectpositionofthecutoffis2.0in.(5cm)at24.6ft.or7.5m(0.4°)belowahorizontalline,xin.fromgroundtothecenteroftheheadlamplens.

Vehicletowing
FlatbedtowingisthepreferredtypeoftowingtobeusedonPorschevehicles.Undercertaincircumstances,wheelliftsmaybeusedwhenthevehiclewillnotroll.Thevehiclemustbetowedwithallfourwheelsofftheground,otherwisedamagetothevehiclemayresult.

ThetowinghookAisstoredinthetoolboxintheluggagecompartment.

2.Securestrapstorearofflatbed.
3.Reelinhoistcableonlyfarenoughtotensiontie-downstraps.
4.Carefullyfeedtowingstrapsthroughtheopeninginthefrontwheels.Makesuremetalpartsofstrapsdonotdamagerim.Makesurethestrapisflatovertherimbead.Makesurebrakebackingplateisnotdamaged.
5.Securestrapstofrontofflatbed.
6.Releasetensiononhoistcable,butdonotdisconnect.Usehoistcableasasafetycable.
