EFFECTIVE ENGINE TORQUE
Note:
Parameter PR106 "Effective engine torque" applies to the following sub-functions:
"Gear changes".
"Torque activation".
PARAMETER
DEFINITIONThis parameter indicates the effective engine torque in Nm. This signal is supplied to
the gearbox computer by the injection computer.
NOTESSpecial notes:
Only perform these tests if the parameters do not correspond with the system operation
programming.
No faults should be present or stored.
Conformity check with engine ignition on and engine running at idle speed.

In the event of a fault, carry out a multiplex network test (see 88B, Multiplexing).
AFTER REPAIRCarry out a road test, then check with the diagnostic tool.

Check for + 12 V on connection BP42 of component 119.
Check for + after ignition feed on connection AP4 of component 119.
Check for earth on connection N of component 119.
Check the insulation and the continuity of the following connections:
●connection code 3MS,
●connection code 3MT,
between components 119 and 120.
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical
wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Run a multiplex network test (see 88B, Multiplex).
If the computer still does not respond, contact the Techline.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults detected by the diagnostic tool. Clear the computer memory.
Carry out a road test, then check with the diagnostic tool.
