Pressing the key AUDIO 4displays a listwith the differentsound
adjustmentpossibilities

To select the desired adjustment, press the corresponding multi-
function key. The sound properties adjustmentisinitiated via the
search keys:

and the volume distribution:

The performed adjustments are reflected in a bar in the display12

Pressing the multi-function key "re-set" allthe sound adjustments
are placed in the centralposition (zero value).
The adjustments are memorised automatically.
Ifno adjustmentismade, the uni
treturns to the initialstate after
5 seconds. Itisalso possible to exit the AUDIO menu by pressing
one of the function keys or pressing the multi-function keyofthe
last adjustmentmodified.

Sound adjustment memory
In the pre-tuning keys 1 ... 5 you may store sound adjustments
(bass/mid/treb) and the volume distribution (bal/fad).

Perform the bass, midrange, treble, balance and fader adjustments
asdescribed previously. When you are still in one of these
adjustments, maintain the pre-tuning key (1 ... 5) depressed where
you wish to store these adjustments,
untilhearing the confirmation
signal. "Sound 1" appearsin the display (ifyou have elected the key 1).
The adjusted values staymemorised.

Press the key SOUND and then the pre-tuning keywhere the
adjustmentiswhich contains the values you wish to retrieve (for
example 3).

reception. These are shown in the display of the radio

Once the desired band isselected press the multi-function button
MAN; then, via the search keys select the frequencydesired.
If the keys are brieflypressed the changing is step by step (of
9 kHzin AM and of 100 kHzin FM) and if they are maintained
pressed, the freque
ncies change rapidly. In thiswayitisalso
possible to tune in stationswith weak signals, notdetectable via
the automaticsearch.

SCCAANN FFuunnccttiioonn
With the SCAN function activated, allthe stationswith a good
quality ofreception are reproduced during 10 seconds. To select a
station, deactivate the function SCAN whilst the same isbeing
played.

With the trafficreportreception function TP activated, the unitis
readyto receive messages about the trafficsituation in any
function mode.
The TP function may only be used in the FM band. Ifyou switch on
the AM band the TP function automaticallyde-activates.

Pressing the TP keyin the display appears:
– T
TPP: if the pre-tuned station emits trafficreports.
– (
(TTPP)): if the pre-tuned station doesnot emittrafficreports.
The messages are reproduced at a minimum determined volume
level. In the PROG menu you may change the minimum volume.
After the trafficreport, you willcontinue to hear the selected source
at the vo
lume itwas adjusted to.The CD or CD6 playing isstopped during the trafficreports
reproduction.
During the reproduction of a trafficreport, you may vary the volume
with the main switch.

If the TP keyispressed during the emission of a trafficreport, the
reproduction of that trafficreportisturned off.
If the TP keyispressed when no trafficreportsisbeing reproduced,

To select a stored radio station, first select the band (AM or FM)

Via the Auto-store function are stored automatically the sixstations
with better reception quality of a band (AM or FM).
The Auto-store function is activated by brieflypressing the multi-
function key AS.

Function onlyavailable in the FM band.
In the LEARN memorymay be stored the stations of better
reception.
Thisfunction makes sense ifyou move into a non-habitualzone
and do notwantto erase the pre-tuned stationsin the
memory
keys (1 to 6) to which you are accustomed to.L

Press the multi-function key LRN. "learn" appearsin the display.
The receiver searchesin the FM band and stores the stationsof
greater power that are transmitted in the area where you are at the
moment.
Next the unitchanges to the station with better reception
.
To select another station of the LEARN memorypress the search
keys.

Alternate Frequencies (AF)
Function onlyavailable in the FM band.
RDS programsexistwhich may be transmitted by variousstations
with differentfrequencies.

Press the multi-function key "af". "AF" appearsin the display.
The available alternate frequencies search is activated for the
selected station.
The radio silentlyand automatically passes to the alternate
frequency of better reception.

In case you are in an area of bad reception itmay occur that the
attemptsin changing be perceived as brief pauses or smallvolume
changes. To avoid this, you may switch off the AF function.
Again press the multi-function key "af". The indication AF
disappear
