12•Front/rear lights, luggage compartment lighting, indicators and hazard
lights: Check operation.•Windscreen wiper and headlight wiper system: Check operation and look
for possible damage, fill if necessary.•Exhaust system : Check fastenings and absence of leaks and damage•Battery: Check.•Self-diagnosis: Check fault memory in all systems.•Poly-V belt : Check conditionInspection Service every 60,000 km (40,000 miles) or 4 yearsOperations to be performed on your vehicle:•Exhaust system : Check fastenings and absence of leaks and damage•Steering system ball joints: Check attachments and check for leaks and
damage. Check for play.•“Next service” sticker: Write the date and mileage, and attach it onto the
door frame.•Automatic gearbox: Check ATF
1) level, top-up as necessary
•Battery: Check.•Brake system: Check for leaks and damage•Front and rear brake pads: Check.•Brake fluid level, according to brake pad wear: Check.
•Self-diagnosis: Check fault memory in all systems.•Front/rear lights, luggage compartment lighting, indicators and hazard
lights: Check operation.•Poly-V belt : Check status and tension.•Coolant system : Check coolant and frost protection level.•Engine and engine compartment components: Check for leaks and
damage (from above).•Engine and engine compartment components, gearbox and steering
knuckles: Check for leaks and damage (from below).•Engine oil and oil filter: Replace.

•Test drive: Check brake operation, handbrake, gearbox operation,
steering system operation, kick-down (for automatic gearbox), air condi-
tioning and sunroof.•Interior and glove compartment lighting, lighter, warning lights and horn:
Check operation.•Tyres, including the spare wheel: Check surface, tread and tyre pressure.•Headlights: Checking their adjustment.•Windscreen wiper and headlight wiper system: Check operation and look
for possible damage, fill if necessary.•Sunroof: Check operation, clean guttering and lubricate guides.•Service interval indicator on the instrument panel: Reset to zero.•Door and tailgate hinges: Lubricate.•Underside protection: Check visually for damage.
1)ATF = Automatic Transmision Fluid
2)If diesel with a high sulphur content is used, the fuel filter and the oil should be
changed every 7,500 km (5,000 miles). Your Au thorised Service Centre will be able to
tell you which countries have diesel with a high sulphur content.
