◆Changing the display
To change the displayed item,
press the “TRIP” switch.
Each time the switch is pressed,
the displayed item will be
changed.
◆Display items
■Odometer
Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven.
■Trip meter A/trip meter B
Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the meter
was last reset. Trip meters A and B can be used to record and dis-
play different distances independently.
To reset, display the desired trip meter and press and hold the “TRIP”
switch.

Instrument cluster*1: Values that can be reset will be displayed with a circle () in the upper
right corner.
To reset, display the desired item and press and hold switch. If both
displayed items are resettable, a reset selection screen will appear.
*2: Use the displayed fuel consumption as a reference.
*3: When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may not
be updated.
When refueling, turn the power switch off. If the vehicle is refueled without
turning the power switch off, the display may not be updated.
*4: This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As aresult, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.

Select to select up to 2 items that will be displayed on the Drive
information 1 screen, Drive information 2 screen and Drive infor-
mation 3 screen respectively. ( →P. 1 1 0 )
● Pop-up display
Select to set the following pop-up displays on/off.
• Incoming call display of the hands-free phone system (if equipped)
• Route guidance display of the navigation system-linked sys- tem (if equipped)
● Initialization
Select to reset the meter display settings. ( →P. 567)
■ Language
Select to change the language on the display.
■ Brightness of the meters (day mode and night mode)
●The brightness of the meters is changed between day mode and night
mode.
XVehicles without automatic light control system
• Day mode: When the tail lights are off
• Night mode: When the tail lights are on
XVehicles with automatic light control system
• Day mode: When the tail lights are off or when the tail lights are on but the surrounding area is bright
• Night mode: When the tail lights are on and the surrounding area is dark
● When in night mode, the brightness will be reduced slightly unless the
meters are set to the maximum brightness level.
■ Suspension of the settings display
●While driving, the multi-information display cannot be changed to setting
mode. Before changing the settings, stop the vehicle in a safe place.
● In the following situations, operation of some of the settings display may be
temporarily suspended.
• When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
• When the vehicle begins to move

When disconnecting and reconnect ing 12-volt battery terminals
The drive information data will be reset.
■ Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to
use the display.
■ Ending display
When the power switch is turned off, the following information about the cur-
rent trip will be temporarily displa yed on the multi-information display.
● Elapsed time (after start)
● Distance (after start)
● Average fuel economy (after start)
WARNING
■ Caution for use while driving
●When operating the multi-information display while driving, pay extra
attention to the safety of the area around the vehicle.
● Do not look continuously at the multi-information display while driving as
you may fail to see pedestrians, objects on the road, etc. ahead of the
vehicle.
■ Cautions during setting up the display
As the hybrid system needs to be operating during setting up the display,
ensure that the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a
closed area such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon
monoxide (CO) may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or
a serious health hazard.
NOTICE
■The multi-information disp lay at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal
information display. At extremely low temperatures, the information display
monitor may respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed.
■ While setting up the display
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, ens ure that the hybrid system is oper-
ating while setting up the display features.

Displays the elapsed time since the hybrid system was started.
Resetting the consumption data
Average fuel consumption for the past 15 minutes is divided by
color into past averages and averages attained since the power
switch was last turned to ON mode. Use the displayed average fuel
consumption as a reference.

■ Updating the past record data
Update the average fuel consumption by selecting “Update” to measure the
current fuel consumption again.
■ Resetting the data
The fuel consumption data can be deleted by selecting “Clear”.
■ Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with the quan-
tity of fuel remaining.
This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
