FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSY
(a) Remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
(c) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front No.2 speak-
er assy.

REPLACEMENT
1.REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.2 (See page 71±11) 2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSYCTR
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the instrument panel register assy CTR.
(c) Disconnect the connectors.
3. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH
(a) Remove the 2 screws and separate the door control switch.
4. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSY
(a) Remove the 2 screws and separate the door control switch assy (TILT).
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSY
(a) Make the multi±display upright.

(b) Remove the 4 screws and the instrument cluster finish
panel assy.
6. REMOVE CONTROL KNOB PROTECTOR NO.1
(a) Remove the screw and control knob protector No.1.
(b) Separate the position sensor.
7. REMOVE MULTI±DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY
(a) Remove the 4 screws and separate the navigation com-
puter cover.
(b) Disengage the 2 clips, slide them in the arrow direction
shown in the illustration to remove the navigation comput-
er cover.
(c) Slide the lock of the connector in the arrow direction
shown in the illustration to disconnect the flexible flat
cable.

(d) Remove the 3 screws and instrument panel support No.1.
(e) Remove the 3 screws and instrument panel support No.2.
(f) Remove the instrument panel support No.3.
(g) Remove the 4 screws and slide the instrument panel box
door cover upward of the screen to remove it.
(h) Remove the instrument panel register control gear.
(i) Remove the 3 screws and door control motor.

(j) Remove the 4 screws and the multi±display.
8. INSTALL MULTI±DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY
(a) Install the multi±display with the 4 screws.
NOTICE:
Tighten each screw together with the earth wire.
(b) Insert the flexible flat cable as deep as possible and install
it by sliding the lock of the connector in the arrow direction
shown in the illustration.
9. INSTALL CONTROL KNOB PROTECTOR NO.1
(a) Fit the protrusion of the position sensor into the groove
shown in the illustration to fix.
(b) Install the control knob protector No.1.

3 . REMOVE N AVIG ATION ECU COVER
(a ) Remove the navigation ECU cover (Front side).
(b ) Remove the 3 clips and the navigation ECU cove r.
4 . REMOVE N AVIG ATION COMPUTER W/BRACKET
(a ) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b ) Disconnec t the connectors and remove the navigation
compute r w/ bracket.
5 . REMOVE DISC PL AYER BRACKET NO.2
(a ) Remove the 2 screws and disc player bracket No.2.
6 . REMOVE DISC PL AYER BRACKET NO.3
(a ) Remove the 2 screws and disc player bracket No.3.
7 . REMOVE N AVIG ATION ECU

POWER POINT SOCKET ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB±ASSY (M/T TRANSAXLE) (See page 41±11)
2.REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB±ASSY UPPER (See page 71±11)
3.REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB±ASSY LOWER (See page 71±11)
4.REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY RR (See page 71±11)
5.REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL (See page 71±11)
6. REMOVE POWER POINT SOCKET ASSY
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and push out the power pointsocket to the room side.
(b) Remove the power point socket cover from the rear consol panel.
7. INSTALL POWER POINT SOCKET ASSY
(a) Install the power point socket cover to the rear consol panel.
(b) Align the claw of power point socket with the one of the socket cover, and push in the power point socket.

REPLACEMENT

3.REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY CTR (See page 71±11)

5.REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLYW/BRACKET
(a)Remove the 4 bolts.
(b)Disconnect the connector and remove the radio receiver assy w/ bracket.
6.REMOVE RADIO BRACKET NO.1
(a)Remove the 6 screws and radio bracket No.1.
7.REMOVE RADIO BRACKET NO.2
(a)Remove the 6 screws and radio bracket No.2.
8.REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSY (See page 55±50)

REAR SPEAKER ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1.REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSY (See page 75±22)
2.REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BASE LH (See page 75±22)
3. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (W/ POWER WINDOW)
(See page 75±22)
4.REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB±ASSY LH (See page 75±22)
5. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Using a drill of less then 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3
rivet heads and remove the rear speaker assy from the
rear door panel.
(c) Gently and vertically put the drill to the rivet, and cut the
rivet flanges.
NOTICE:
Prizing the hole with a drill can lead to damage to the
rivet hole or breaking the drill.
Take care as the cut rivet is hot.
(d) Even if flange is taken off, continue drilling and push out remaining fragments with the drill.
(e) Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the drilled rivets and their dust from the inside of the rear door panel.
6. INSTALL REAR SPEAKER ASSY
(a) Using an air riveter or a hand riveter, install 3 new strike rivets to install the rear speaker assy on the rear door pan-
el.
NOTICE:
Install the new strike rivet in order shown in the il-
lustration to install the rear speaker assy.
Do not prize a riveter, as the riveter could be dam-
aged, loosened and the mandrel could be bent.
