Mirror angle can be adjusted when (power adjustable type)
The engine switch is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
When the mirrors are fogged up
Turn on the mirror defoggers to defog the mirrors. (P. 264)
CAUTION
When driving the vehicle
Observe the following precautions while driving.
Failure to do so may result in loss of control of the vehicle and cause an
accident, resulting in death or serious injury.
Do not adjust the mirrors while driving.
Do not drive with the mirrors folded.
Both the driver and passenger side mirrors must be extended and properly
adjusted before driving.
When a mirror is moving (power adjustable type)
To avoid personal injury and mirror malfunction, be careful not to get your
hand caught by the moving mirror.
When the mirror defoggers are operating
Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces, as they can become very hot and
burn you.
NOTICE
If ice should jam the mirror
Do not operate the control or scrape the mirror face. Use a spray de-icer to
free the mirror.

Window lock switch
Press the switch down to lock
the passenger window switches.
Use this switch to prevent chil-
dren from accidentally opening or
closing a passenger window.
The power windows can be operated when
The engine switch is in the “ON” position.
Jam protection function (type B)
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame,
window travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
If the battery is disconnected (driver’s window only)
The power windows must be initialized in order to ensure proper operation.
Open the window halfway.
Fully close the window by pulling the switch up and continue hold-
ing the switch for 1 second.
The indicator on the switch changes from a flashing pattern to being on
when initial settings are complete.

Opening the fuel tank cap
Perform the following steps to open the fuel tank cap:
Before refueling the vehicle
Turn the engine switch off and ensure that all the doors and win-
dows are closed.
Opening the fuel tank cap

Pull up the opener to open the
fuel filler door.
Turn the fuel tank cap slowly
to open.
Hang the fuel tank cap on the
back of the fuel filler door.
